Yeah, that's a guy that will have a Netflix documentary.

First episode it'll be the social media videos celebrating him for this with go gos music in the background.

Then next episode is about struggles with fame and eventually, the basement dungeon of runaways.

Small businesses will soon hire him. Similar to homeowners that hire a guy to remove squatters.

‘Squatter hunter’: For a price, this California man will rid your home of ‘unwanted guests’ — how he squeezes out squatters

Dude had to have done that before. The owner had the van and several "helping hands" ready for the culprit to steal from him again. He had to have, no way there just happened to be "several" guys just standing around the store. They acted quick, jumped in the van and chased the guy down, loaded him up, took him to a previously determined location, sprayed the guy in his ass with pepper spray, beat the shit out of him, dumped him off back in the street. Well planned and premeditated. NOT GUILTY. And of course his last name was Patel, 100% lock he owns the nearest hotel / motel to his store.

In all seriousness, I hate a thief as much as anyone, but there were other ways to handle this. Had all this taken place in his store and he felt his life was in danger--yeah, -I could see it.

My guess is that his store has been robbed plenty of times and he had just had it, and took the law in his own hands. Will probably plead out to something much less serious and be back at work soon.

Wonder if the shoplifter has a rap sheet and what it looks like?

I've been on a jury before. It was a murder trial. We had to let the guy walk. The state did not prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt. They had no direct eye witness or forensics tying the suspect to the crime. Just circumstantial evidence. Sadly the guy probably did it but couldn't be proven.

Inb4 the "if you saw someone stealing vapes, you didnt" take.

I'd probably go out of my way to give this guy my business.

If you owned a business before, of any kind, you realize just how shitty it is to deal with dirt bags and trash. No sympathy for criminals like this.

As I stated, I believe the guy had stolen from there before and the clerk was aware of him.

Where do you draw the line?
Can an owner shoot and kill a shoplifter for stealing a box of twinkies?
Twinkies are pretty damn rare now days. I say no to the killing, but a good beating and pepper spray up his ass in well within range of acceptable defense of store property. 2 boxes of twinkies, Dude might get capped.
