That’s absolutely not what he was doing, and to interpret that way is really dumb, no offense. He was politely trying to say that Cal is washed up and Kentucky fans were right but he’s so inarticulate that it came out as incoherent gibberish.
Yeah he just says that BBN is going to amplify anything Cal-related. Fair point, imo.
I mean, I guess it’s a fair point… but to act as though Cal’s epic failure even needs any amplification is kind of silly. The man is 0-5 in the league with the best roster he could recruit and money could buy. Not to mention what he’s getting paid himself. Between last year’s rumors of teammates… ahem… porking each other, and this year’s horrendous product on the court, Arkansas is the laughingstock of college basketball, and there isn’t a close runner-up.
I didn't take it so much as a slam on BBN but more a point that BBN is VERY influential on social media and is making every failure by Cal a viral internet event. He's not necessarily wrong.... But there are plenty of Arkansas fans and college bball fans making these points as well. The combo of ALL that negative noise is not good for Cal or Arkansas.

Yeah I was watching this live yesterday and never even thought to interpret it the way that tweet says. Just horrible lack of comprehension there, wow. All he was doing was saying he’s doing a bad job and guess what, he’s going to have a big spotlight on his back because WE TOLD YOU SO.
1 he’s right in what he was saying, and 2 he wasn’t saying what the OP thinks
It’s not like he a ton of options though. Talked to Ohio State and possibly Michigan but they went in another direction. Arkansas got turned down by Oats, Drew, and Beard before talking to Cal .
Not many schools would have been willing to give Cal the money he was wanting , both salary and NIL .
When everyone else turns you down and the fan base is revolting you freak out and throw money at the next person in line. I don’t think Tyson is pleased with his investment. Maybe he should feed the basketball team antibiotics when they first arrive at Arkansas, can’t hurt!
Yeah, Cal had an offensive coordinator last year Seth. That dude is gone now, and Arkansas is running the dribble drive. Dude is the biggest Calipari blowhard I know.
I’m not sure what needs has to do with it. It IS amplified because he coached here for the last 15 years. They would not be getting anywhere near this amount of attention if they had hired Dusty May, for instance.
I mean, Cal is still a polarizing figure in his own right. But we are the needle on the record.
Well if the talking heads of the media and all of the rival fan bases hadn't run their collective mouths about the BBN being too harsh on Cal or having high expectations that Cal couldn't meet and started apologizing and saying you know they might have been correct then the BBN probably wouldn't say half of what they are. We are just like anyone else. When we are proven correct, we will toot our horn and let everyone else know about it. Plus the talking heads of the media and the rival fan bases have no idea about how condescending Cal got towards the fans and how he belittled the fans towards the end. Cal and his ego brought this onto himself.
If Cal had just shown a little humility and told the fans that what he was doing has not been working for a while and apologized for the results, it may have gotten the fans off his back a little because he sucked the last several years and we had a right to be pissed. Say the game has changed a lot over the past several years and I've done a poor job of adjusting. Instead, he dug his heels in, belittled the fans and refused to change anything. His ego wouldn't allow him to say he was wrong.
When I watched it I thought Greenberg was going to cry and or attack Williams. He was getting emotional about his hero/secret love.
Greenberg was way worse than Williams in that clip.
Seth was ready to fight him over it. Kept cutting williams off when he started to talk about lack of in game adjustments!
