If Reeves stays, we get Kaluma and at least one other role player, could that be enough?

Kaluma shooting 42% from the field and 31% from three-point range at the 4 is pitiful. Better than nothing, though.

We love players who can't shoot.
At this point we just got to have players.Just have to get best we can get from a depleted portal.Thats all we can do.
You can thank our incompetent coach and some drama kings for it.

There are multiple issues with UKs current roster regardless of who they add from the shallow transfer portal.

1. You've got 3 volume dependant scorers - probably in your starting lineup with Edwards, Wagner and Dillingham.
2. Your main 2 ball handlers have been the primary ball handler their entire career.
3. You've got a lanky, Center who fancies himself a wing or a stretch 4 instead of a rim running, rim protecting 5.
4. You're only other big is a project with minimal experience who at best blossoms into a rim protector and there aren't any impact bigs left in the portal so the 5 spot is likely a weakness all season.
5. The team lacks shooters.
6. No matter who Cal brings in from the portal this team will start at a minimum 3 Freshman.
7. I think Shepperd makes a minimal impact next year and would wager Thiero logs more minutes than him.
8 This team will likely struggle on defense. Wagner isn't a great defender and Dillingham's size will likely be an issue as he will likely get bullied by SEC guards.

What about North Dakota State 6'11 Grant Nelson that averaged 18 and 9 last year. I read a couple of articles today that said since Oscar Tshiebwe left that Kentucky could be one of his Top options for next season. Why not 6'11 Nelson, Kaluma 6'7 and averaged 12 and 6 at Creighton, Reeves returns, and then maybe one more from the Portal. That would put Kentucky at 11 players and this could be outstanding team with the Five freshmen.
Bingorina. I think no one has mentioned him because they think UK is a no-go for him. But Nelson solves our front court problems instantly.

You guys keep missing the point on Onyenso. It was NOT that "he couldn't beat out Ware"! He clearly out played Ware in Nov when Oscar missed time (2x the rebounds, 50% more blocks, same scoring, in a few less minutes). And that was with only like a month of practices under his belt because he joined late, missing the summer. But we all know Cal. Cal has "his guys", players that he is loyal to. And Ware has been one of those. So he trusted a player he had played for 2 years, more than one he had seen for 1 month, for the limited minutes either would get backing up the All American.

Yes Bradshaw will play some 5 (say 10-15mpg), unless we add a surprise 5. I am concerned that he simply isn't strong enough for there, but after Onyenso he's all we got.

I do think we will see a lot of Theiro at the 4, again unless we add someone, which we probably will there.

I am not saying he can’t be a starter this season, I am just saying that it would surprise me if the kid flourishes in that role next season. Going from 7 minutes a game in 16 games to starting every game and getting 20+ minutes a game is quite a jump, regardless of the reason why he didn’t play.

I am just skeptical about the kid since we barely even saw him last year.
