If Reeves stays, we get Kaluma and at least one other role player, could that be enough?

Reeves ain’t staying. And if he does he’s gonna be so miserable That not much will be produced.

I thought Kaluma was a big, not a wing. So, yeah, if we don't somehow pull a miracle and get a serviceable big, I have no hope. Barring Ugonna shocking the world.

More of a 3/4, but he’s probably the best player available, regardless of position.
He could play with Bradshaw and both could play some inside and some outside.
Cal needs to run a 5 out offense anyway with the personnel he has, IMHO.
Cal acts like we are on probation, you get 13 scholarships.
Reeves will be back, pilgrim said last night it’s very fixable they just have to make him fell like he is wanted, they will get reeves back. Adding Kaluma & jones would make this a good but flawed team
Agree, next years bunch will be able to score, the half court fist fight games will not be what next years bunch will excel at. Get the 3 players, spread the floor out, and score a bunch of points, that’s how teams are winning in college now anyways
I know that sucks for Kentucky standards which is does, but sweet 16 is a surprise from the NIT vibes a couple of days ago. It still sucks but it’s improvements if they can get the players
From the sounds of it, I think he wants to make sure Kentucky is making the best offer. Which, I certainly don't love for other reasons.. but I would think if Kentucky has the right NIL offer, than Reeves will be fine to play here.
As for the question. We need Reeves, another wing (Kaluma) and a backup true center. I'd also like to see another true PG. Those are the 4 pieces needed.
Get Reeves back. Spend the money and make the playing time promise, Cal.
Get Kaluma. That’s as close to a home run as you can get now in the portal.

Finding a quality backup Center is going to be difficult. It’s sad that we may be wishing Ware had stayed around. LOL!
Right now another PG is way down on the list of needs, IMHO. We have three guys that can run the Point right now, albeit Freshmen.
And Cal isn’t going to play a veteran PG over the Freshmen and no quality PG is coming to back up the Freshmen.
Actually we need a starting center but Cal totally screwed those chances.

And yeah, the backup PG is more of a nice to have. But still important.. Because as I recall this past year, a certain group of posters lost their shit we didn't have a true 3rd string PG ready to take over the PG duties..
Pilgrim just said it's now Memphis in the lead with a visit to Xavier may or may not happen.
Sheppard can handle the Point.
Also, Thiero can play Point in a pinch.
So, not that worried about the backcourt.
Need an experienced shooter on the wing (Reeves or bust at this point) and some experience in the frontcourt (Kaluma or bust at this point).
Sounds like a reclassed Cyril might be our only hope for a backup Center.
He is at Xavier today I’m pretty sure, I don’t know anything but I bet Kentucky gets a visit atleast

We have our starting 5. We just need a couple more role players to complete this team. With Reeves probably coming back, we are set on guards. We just need a couple more wing players.

Reeves can't do anything official now but clearly he has had conversations with Memphis and Illinois already.
He has, this staff is atleast smart enough to know they have to lock reeves up, I’m confident they can atleast do that, now getting other portal to players I’m less confident. I had jones almost penciled into the roster, but apparently now it Memphis
I tried being up beat and positive and get crapped on again. Every dang time man, we think something good is going to happen, it’s get shot down instantly
