So have you never paid any attention to how the seeding works?

No at large bid ever gets a 16 seed, and nobody from a remotely decent conference ever does either. 16 seeds are reserved for the conf tourney winners of the absolute crappiest conferences. There is zero chance a school like Cincy will ever be a 16.

The lowest seed I've ever saw a power five conference team get is 14. Which was Georgia who won the SEC tournament in 2008.
