Exactly! Wilkerson was offered top 5 money by Indiana. Thankfully, Pope knows this guy isn’t worth that.

The question is “is it worth paying that guy if it means a title?” Ultimately it’s about the value of the player to the program at that point. Wilkerson could be the difference between an elite 8 and a title. When it comes down to missing pieces you’re gonna have to pay this late in the game. Make no mistake. You aren't winning one with Calipari. He won only one here with nothing but NBA players every year. Say what you want about Hurley or Self but they would have won several with the talent that was here.
