I wish Liam Coen would come out and publicly say he is going to stay at KY

No need to do that. Why give a response to something that has ZERO credibility.

I understand fan angst but if you actually read that tweet, it's literally just some fan wish list. No indication at all the school is even pursuing him and definitely nothing suggesting coen had interest.

Another thread about this?
I’d like to hear from Brad White, again, that he is staying at U.K.

I read a post from 2019 saying he would be gone by ‘20, and I wet my pants, again.

If it comes to fruition, we lose not only our DC, we also violate the space-time continuum, which is still an NCAA violation the Supreme Court has not done away with!!

Sell your Delorean’s folks, we ain’t headed backwards!

Flux Capacitor my Arse!!

NO offense intended to anyone but our fans spend way too much time obsessing over the (usually remote) possibility of other teams stealing our coaches. Coach Coen isn't leaving, he loves it here. Someday he may move on to an NFL coordinator job or even a head job at some level but not likely to take another college OC job, or any other job anytime soon.

I don't think our coaches should have to issue statements every time someone tweets that another program is interested in one of our coaches. Kentucky is no longer a stepping stone program, it's now more of a destination program for quality coaches. Folks need to start realizing that.

Yep.

And absent some pressing need (family health in another region), Lexington isn’t a bad local.

I bet Coen is here until his child is ready to start school, and if he starts in Lexington, that is another tie that is at least a little tough to break.

Give me a million a year and I could more than satisfy any beach time I or my family needed, without sticking around long enough to smell red tides and brackish water.

For sure. Sell Coen on the climate change/instability! No one is safe!
Hell, I’ll take 6 inches of snow twice a year over a panicked drive up the A-1-A any day of the week!!

I actually got chased out of the Keys 25 years ago by a storm that came back across Florida from the Gulf side, through Orlando and to the space coast, where I/we had bedded down.

In 25 years, Miami will be gone and we’ll be surfing in Franklin/Simpson County!!!

Not laughing at hurricane scares but the surfing! Had my fair share of getting the hell outta dodge on both Atlantic and Gulf coasts. That is one helluva trek though!!

Silly. Grow up. Only place Liam Coen leaving is passionately and constantly discussed is this message board. 16 & 17 yr old top recruits ain't here.

If you want UK Football to succeed then you're going to have to come accustomed to other programs/NFL going after our coaches + Stoops made the Coen hire, if we do lose Coen, I trust Stoops to make another good OC hire.
But the distinction is now coaches aren't leaving here for a lateral position anymore, for the most part the ones that leave on their own are leaving for a step up - i.e. Clink - DB coach - to DB/co DC; Brown, OC to head coach, Sumrall- LB coach to head coach.

How many OC jobs in college football do you actually think Coen would leave for, especially after working his butt off the last year getting all the pieces in place at the quarterback, receiver and running back positions for a potential divisional championship run this season? And he isn't so naïve to be leaving for a head job in the unlikely event someone would offer him one at this stage, with only one year in FBS football.

If they come for Coen, we need to go for O’Connell!!
They take one of ours and we take TWO of theirs!

I know that Coen can be a candidate, but there are other coaches in that system who have worked with McVey. Coen would make more of a HC name for himself at UK, if he has a desire to be a college HC.

It's something you have to deal with when you are successful. It would be much worse if no one wanted him including UK fans.
Yep the more successful you are the more likely other teams want some of that success and will come calling on your Asst coaches.

Alabama seems to run thru Asst coaches this way. And I believe Clemson has lost coaches as well.

If it’s true that Alabama wants Wofford it’s a statement of respect to what UK is going.
