I think Florida beats Tennessee.

I thought we moved the ball better today created more open shots.
Yep, by cutting. Super cuts, Bilas was gushing over the cuts.

The ball movement was so much better. We didn’t have people trying to dribble as much, which is a plus because most are marginal handlers. Butler has become great at breaking people down on the dribble though. Wish he could play 40 minutes.

Tennessees inside game did not impress me at all, they have two od the premier guards in the Country. Lanier is a Vinnie Johnson they called him the human microwave" he can light it up, and Ziegler in his 40th season there is all SEC. Floridas guards are a little better and their inside game should have its way with UT down at alligator Alley, wouldn't be surprised at double digit win for Florida.

Disagree fla wins imo
I don't think many teams will beat Florida at their place. I doubt we would have beaten them in Gainesville. Home cout is a HUGE advantage. Rupp, Auburn, and Knoxville are huge advantage for the home team. You put 20K+ in Rupp & Thompson Boling it is a nasty place to play.

Our defensive rating in the metrics ranks us near 90th and our rebounding is awful, so essentially we just outscored Florida.

A team like UT, or Auburn, can beat UF in Gainesville, because they have elite defenses and they fight like animals for rebounds.

I'm not sure UT, or Auburn will put up 100 points on Florida, but they are elite at things we are very poor at right now.

Hopefully Florida beats UT tomorrow night, they have the guards and frontcourt to do it.

I think we would match up pretty well with Tennessee ourselves. I think Florida wins in Gainesville

I think Florida wins by 5 or more. The best win on UT's resume is a 2-point win at Illinois. 2nd best a 13-point win over Baylor in the Bahamas and 3rd is probably the 20-point at Louisville the first weekend ,and then the home win against Arkansas is 4th. None of those is exactly a murderer's row. UT is really good and I don't want any part of them in Knoxville but they are far from a superteam . Florida is going to be a huge jump for them and by far the best team they will have yet faced. I've watched Florida play three times now and UT four or five times and I think from the eyeball test Florida has looked a little better. As far as analytics, Kenpom has a host of teams like Michigan and Michigan State, Gonzaga still ahead of us so I don't think these numbers mean a whole lot right now.

I think Florida actually routes TN tomorrow night.

Think it'll be a double-digit, comfortable win.

The O'Dome should be rockin'.
That game is going to tell us a lot about both teams.
I do think UT is very good, definitely top 5, but other than Illinois, they haven't played anyone and I want to see if the things they're doing on both sides of the ball, actually work against a team with great guards and a strong big like Florida has.

I think Clayton may have a difficult time at pg, in this matchup. Florida will need more from Will Richard.

Just curious, what makes you think that?

Lamont Butler is in the discussion (along with Ziegler) for best defensive guard in America, and Otega is up there too, but he seemed to have a field day.

A 10 point win by either team would not surprise me. UF may have a bit of a UK hangover(plus they expended a lot of energy in that game) UT has not been tested all that much ,no doubt it will be a hostile environment

I don't think we will see the offensive explosion that we witnessed on Saturday. The Vols are very physical, UF may have some problems with that kind of play. I don't think UF will dominate the offensive board. First team to 75 probably wins

UF will be a little more desperate as well. You don’t want to start league play 0-2 and you can’t afford to lose your home opener.

UT better bring their A game, UF cannot afford to back down and will fight hard for this win.

(Note: same can be said for UGA, but they just don’t have the weapons that UF has. Still it could be a tough one for us as well.)

I thought Kentucky would pressure him more. Walter had a great offensive day, though 5 turnovers. I think Ziegler will pick him up early, and ut will commit to really pressuring the ball. Vols are— physical. I guess that’s a good euphemism.

I don't know about matching up well with Tennessee. They play war ball. Foul non stop. Kentucky will beat them if the refs call it tight.
They will get away with a lot in Knoxville though. Refs will swallow the whistles. Going to have to play through physical bumps and hit shots to beat them.
This is why Tennessee is usually a early exit in the NCAA Tournament. They don't allow them to play bully ball in the tournament and that's all they know.

Fair enough, I agree I think TN will pressure him more!

But I think he'll play great on his own home floor- up in Knoxville would be a different story.

I agree with everything you said. On the other hand, Tennessee’s entire offense is basically scoring from the two positions we guard best. I think we have a good chance to beat them at Rupp, winning in Knoxville probably won’t happen. If we met on a neutral I like our chances
