When all those greats rolled out of that bus tears started flowing that was awesome to feel that passion again wife was crying too
Teared up for sure, wiped my eyes several times. I'm pumped for the season already and it's just April.
Cal was like the super hot girl that reels you in being super fun with nonstop sex in the beginning...then completely stops putting out right after the marriage (lifetime contract), starts cheating on you (UCLA/Ohio State/Arkansas), and plays head games with you even though she knows it pisses you off (Zone, benching better players, NBA BS).
Absolutely a bad marriage that needed to end.
I'm in my early 20s. I didn't have the chance to watch the '96 team or any great UK team back then. But let me say this... If I had to pick between sitting at a table with the old school UK guys vs Cal's UK guys, I'm going to the old school guys 10/10 times. Pope & co. are Kentucky basketball to me.

Being a fan for over 65 years, it brought a tear to my eye. We finally have someone who gets it, I hope everyone will realize. We are no longer under the influence of someone who looks down at us. We are Kentucky and it is now for all of us.
I cried 3 times. My girlfriend was laughing at me while I tried to explain that this coach loves this place the way I love this place.

Guys I feel ya, I cannot believe that for so many years I lost that feeling what a tradition really is. Yes I supported every team since then and been happy but I think I truly forgot that feeling that I got.. We might have a year down somewhat, but I will hang onto this feeling that I got today of yester years past.
I hear ya, in the past we watched doors for coaches to come out, but now we are watching a bus come in. What a change.. Go cats!!!!!
I’m more excited than anything. Loved his sentiment for the school. I don’t think we’ll have any more players just using the school for practice to get to the draft.
Glad to know I wasn't the only one. Got our program back and a guy who truly puts Kentucky first. He has the fire and passion needed to win big!

I was initially upset with the hire didn't feel like his resume had enough. But man does it feel great having a guy who wants to be here and loves the program. I had chills watching it, I was feeling the love.

Cal understood what we were about when he first came, and until about 2017ish. Sometime after that being your brothers keeper and succeed and proceed changed to La Famalia and draft picks are all that matters. Him winning the title so early hurt his tenure IMO. He got it out of the way quick and after 2015 he never wanted to grind to be that successful again. Obviously he never got it the way Pope and real Wildcats do.

53 here. Sat with kids today and pointed out all the greatness and 99’s history. I love so many. But man I’m so glad to see delk again. What a bad ass!
