Stoops has proven me wrong.
I made a few posts last seasons about how embarrassing it was for our teams to go out against top competition and not just lose, but go out there and have the game be over within the first 5 minutes. I pleaded to just compete in games against top competition, not even expecting wins, but just not to be embarrassed. I didn’t understand how bad teams could compete with top teams and make game competitive for stretches, and we seemed completely inept in this department.
Stoops and UK are 2-0 in the “being competitive against top 10 teams” column this season, and have shown they have the talent and coaching to stay in any game. That’s all I’ve really wanted and has been my biggest frustration, so gotta give them props
