I'm not so sure. Ask me where I'd rather have depth of talent, and I'm going with forward, particularly guys who can realistically play the 3 or the 4. UK has been severely lacking that for years now- 2 years playing mainly 3 guard lineups, the year before playing a lot of 2 big guy lineups. With Vanderbilt and Washington, that time has ended, and those 2 combining for 65 mpg wouldn't be a bad thing, as far as I'm concerned. I wouldn't be all that uncomfortable with a Vanderbilt/Washington/Richards frontcourt, or with Diallo playing some 3. And that's not even mentioning Gabriel. Yeah, just having Richards/SKJ/Wynyard as true big guys is dicey, but that's 2 Mickey D AA's who clearly have a lot of physical tools.Ugh. If Bam stays in the draft and we don't get Bamba, we will have SKJ as our backup to Richards. Could be a rough year.
But I think UK gets Bamba. I think he's just waiting on Bam. And if Bam stays, and no Bamba, it's still a pretty nice roster.
