HUGE COMMITMENT

December's signing period cant come quick enough. Recruits will get the opportunity to sign and we will see who is 100% UK and who is on the fence.

Either way this staff is doing a great job at recruiting. Pulling a guy from Michigan is a big deal when our main focus has been Ohio and Florida. Fans who aren't on this staff's bandwagon should start piling on because we have a staff that is the real deal.

I'm talking about a specific poster that makes it a point to troll me everytime I say something no matter what I say. You don't know that because your foot is lodged in your mouth, I got this, I don't need any cosigners.
Oh my a young tough guy --- I'm so sorry I impeded your path to greatness--- carry on.

Does anyone have a list of the recruiting commitments we've had trouble holding on to? I know we've lost a handful, and I know we had one year that was particularly bad, but by and large, I think we've done a pretty good job holding onto the commitments. And that particularly bad year resulted in us landing a couple of last minute guys who are significant contributors to the team now.

I see three options for you. Go cry in your safe space, put on your big girl panties and deal with people on a discussion board talking to you, or use the damn ignore button.

Great column by JRowland on throwing cold water on commitments like McCall's. It really might help if a certain segment of the UK football fan base could find it in themselves to act like winners. We all recognize the kid is not yet signed. How about focusing on the positive fact that he has made an open commitment to our program?

Agreed. Use this momentum to bring in guys like Blue Smith, Jarren Williams, Xavier Peters, Tyler Bentley, etc, etc etc......

Nose tackle in my opinion due to our lack of success in the past recruiting that position, plus we lose two nts this year

I think so too although they're interested in 2 JUCO NTs. Watching his film he just jumps off the screen at DL. Playing next to Looney is an awesome thought.

Actually UK loses 3 NTs..Pringle, Elam and Hyde this year.

Yep this thread WAS about landing the number one player in Michigan, not hanging on to recruits. That's a GOOD thing so let's keep it there and celebrate the positive
.

A huge get for the staff. I suspect he wants to play Nose in the 3-4 scheme, and it's likely he would prefer to come South (wouldn't anyone?)

That's the word I hear, is that UK is far from done in the states just above them.

Not sure what your coaching staff is selling, but its working.

What he's selling is UK's the new kid on the block who's offering Michigan guys a chance to play in the SEC. Doesn't happen often.

It really is a simple formula. If a kid from the Great Lakes or Mid-Atlantic regions wants to play in the SEC (aka NFLDL) rather than the B10, a UK football program committed to being competitive for a change is a marketable op tion. We just need to make sure SEC expansion does not embrace WVU or Va Tech, and we remain the SEC entry for these areas, assuming parents and student-athletes are looking for some fall weekends proximity to home. Mark Stoops is working to turn lemons into lemonade, and it is going to work.

Well, given the prominence of the SEC the last 20 years or so, suddenly it is to our advantage being the Northern most school is the SEC, at least with regard to recruits north of the Mason-Dixon line.

Hmm... I think our Spartan friend may be insinuating something...
