how many losses will uk have at end of schedule?

Large portion of our fanbase is out of touch with reality. On here one min talking about great we are and the next day the sky is falling. We Shouldn't lose at home to unc Wilmington..... But with a team this talented it isn't the end of the world. I understand the fans on here believe we should go 40-0 but that's out of touch. (And yes they do think that, tell me the last loss they were ok with)
Nobody really thinks that Mr. Strawman.

I'm gonna go 6. I blame Cal for the last game as much as anyone. But...it's hard to lose 8 or 9 games when you have this much talent. Even for Cal.

The UNCW game was a let down. We weren't out talented. I'm betting we don't have that happen again all year.

I think we come out hungry vs UNC and beat them. We'll smack Louisville around like a cat that's caught a mou...bird.

We've got some road games vs ranked team. We may lose 1-2 more at home.
This sounds the most logical so far in the thread. There will be no more let downs.

Losses are @UT, @A&M, @Ark, and another random one thrown in there somewhere during SEC play

UNC and Zags we win both

Well we got 2, will lose One in SEC Tourney and another in NCAA so that 4. Got to figure at least 4-5 in Conference so I go with 9 losses. Oops my bad, " End of Schedule", got to start with 7 but Got to figure Cal figure out how to lose another one somewhere so let's go with 8 losses.

Whatever I said the last time this was asked. I think it was 9 or 10.

5 or 6. The loss this past Saturday was frustrating, but I see it as more of a blip than a potential pattern. The game should be a wake-up call that we can get beat by anyone if we aren't on top of it. Getting Wagner back will be key in the next few games. We need that motor defensively.

Yea cause cals teams don't get better throughout the season.
Have they gotten better as the season goes on the past couple of years? No? Should this team get better, Yes? But the fact is championship teams don’t lose at home to uncw, Kentucky needs to make a run this year, and losses like last Saturday aren’t good

Kansas, there were many on here saying it showed how good Kentucky was, that they took a top 3 team to the wire without any frotncourt players. The out of touch with reality aspect is an interesting thought. Because I agree we aren’t going to win championships every year, but Kentucky should be competing more years than they aren’t, and right now they aren’t even close to competing for championships. Talent can go so far if the coaching and the positions they are put in are constantly hurting them. CALs in game adjustments and coaching always hurt him, and this team isn’t good enough to overcome him. The sky isn’t falling, but it’s starting to dip down a little. Kentucky basketball shouldn’t be making exceptions to our expectations but a good portion of the fanbase are now starting to

right now based on what I see combined with our past history

7 losses regular season, second place finish in the SEC tourney, elite 8 loss to an at-large bid team

-------------

but this is a final four or bust season for Cal, and his post UNC-W practice/marketing event tells me he knows it.

If it is, which I agree then he needs to put feelings to the side. I don't mean DJ by the way, either. I mean you run DJ, Reed and Reeves or Dilly together and they play 30 mpg. The other plays 25. Adou keeps mpg up and you mix in Bradshaw with Trey.

Edwards is odd man out unless he gets his head on straight.

Remember how people use to call Tubby "Ten Loss Tubby", I guess we need to call Cal "10 Loss Cal" of corse his name could be "Round of 32 Cal", "NIT CAL" and "Lose every record Cal"

I say our final record is 9-16. Won't make the SEC tourney or the NCAA tourney.

I will go with 7 to 8, too much talent to lose more than that.
Can Score:
Reed (G)
Reeves (G)
Dillingham (G)
Thiero (G)
Mitchell (F) (not a good rebounder or FT shooter)
Wagner (G) (hurt)
Edwards (G) (not a good 3 pt shooter)

As others are saying, if Cal doesn't let this team do what it did before this last game (and the Kansas one), and insists on pounding the ball inside, then the losses are going to pile up. We basically have 4 guards we can count on for the bulk of the scoring.

We lost that UNCW game due to poor coaching AND the fact that we couldn't run with UNCW, and sure as heck couldn't match them behind the arc. That team actually had a poor day behind the arc. Even with going to the line more times and hitting at a much better clip we STILL lost by 7 points. I'd say they had more talented shooters, for sure. I'll agree that the team didn't come out ready to play, but credit needs to be given to that team and their coach. If they make the NCAA tournament they're going to be a real headache.

Right now... I would actually argue that they are competing for championship. One of the better teams I've seen this season.

That loss had very little to do with Cal. We were beat all game from word go . Terrible passes that were lazy and couldn't stop anyone on defense

I agree with that.
Yes they absolutely got better 2 years ago. Went into Kansas and steam rolled the eventual champs. We were playing great basketball by mid Feb so yes they got better.

You think that. Every game that we are in a close game you come on here talking about how bad the team is lol
It's hilarious people want to act as though they believe we will lose ? # of games , but are mad at the world when UK loses one.
Teams do lose games . In fact that's probably what makes them better.
