Will Tai provide any significant minutes as a backup going into SEC play? Could he add some toughness with aggressiveness we will need going into the SEC Tourn? What say you blue brothas.

Injury insurance only. This will benefit us more going into next season, when he may be our most experienced inside presence.

I bet he's more than that. I could see him getting 10-15 minutes a game once he gets his feet wet with his size and skillset. Depends on a lot of things though...foul trouble, the other team's lineup, injuries, etc.

How well he defends will dictate how many minutes he will (or will not see). Just look at Derek Willis. If he plays like Jorts (which is who he kind of reminds me of)...he could see a ton of minutes.

Most likely he plays 5-10mpg to fill in when we have foul trouble.

If Willis is giving us quality spot minutes when we have foul trouble, he might not even play until 16-17.

Most importantly, he gives us depth inside if we need it.
