Based on what happened to us with injuries , every year, plus the foul trouble based on the way the games are called in SEC , I think we need to fill all 15 scholarships .


Considering that we are losing :

- both our 3s / SF : JR and Brea
- both our 4s. : Carr and Almanor
- our starting PG Butler and center Amari Williams,

We will need at least 6 replacements from Portal / high school..

If Oweh, Garrison returns they are the starters at 2 and 5 . The 3 other high school and 3 returns ( Chandler , Noah and Perry ) will be back up players. So that give us 8 players. If Kriisa stays that 9 players.

Since we will have 15 scholarships, that means the maximum we can get from portal will be 5 players if Kriisa stays and Ament commits to Kentucky or 7 if Kriisa doesn’t stay and Ament goes to a different school.

PG : Portal 1 / Kriisa ?Portal6? / Perry/ Chandler
SG : Oweh/Lewis/ Chandler/ Johnson
SF: Portal2/ Portal 5/ Noah
PF: Ament/Portal7 ? Portal3/Noah
C: Garrison / Portal4/ Moreno

I think we need at least 4 high level transfers, then they can save one scholarship for a late addition if needed. I’d love to get a high level PG that can defend to replace Butler, a shooter who can score at all 3 levels to replace Brea, a hybrid Wing that is athletic and can shoot to replace Carr, and a versatile Center to replace Williams.

Ehh I don’t hate Krisa, but I much rather have a very good portal PG and have that PG and Lewis be our guards next year

It will be a big head start to return 5 guys who already played and know the system though.

See I think Krissa is more valuable than Perry at this point honestly. Keer has proven he can be a big piece on a top team. He’s played so many more meaningful minutes too.

If Krisa is cool being like the 8th or 9th player I’m fine with it, if not I get it and let him go play all he wants his final years somewhere else

I think that’s exactly what he will be. Second unit guard just like this year.

What do you do with Lewis?
Personally I will be disappointed if he is incapable of beating out Kerr.
I don't consider Kerr as a true PG.

Lewis as backup to Oweh that gives you a different dimension. Even with Kriisa back we will need another PG to be the starter. With Kriisa you don’t know if he is fully healed , plus none of the other players Perry, Chandler , Lewis can be at the level of Butler. So we need a replacement for Butler at least at the same level.

Jasper is a 2G and Lewis is a point.
Agree that we need to recruit a starter but I don't see Lewis being a backup to the backup.

And then replace those guys with better players.

It does make sense to run off bad players if you can replace them with with better proven players. It just makes the team better and deeper.
