Hope we follow The Pope example Saturday

Calipari said himself he wouldn’t be surprised if booed, but that he has bazooka holes in him from shots he’s taken over his career, so when people shoot arrows at him these days they go right through (translation- he thinks it won’t phase him)
He also said he knows his friends at the game will be wearing blue, but hopes they might be wearing red socks.
Also said Ellen not coming (under the weather)

So he talked about bbn and down to bbn all the time, called this place “cal u” alone with that stupid draft night comment then basically quit the last 5-6 yrs along with a 9 win season……here, at uk. Then he pretty much alienated himself from the administration and athletic department but then doesn’t think he won’t get booed??? So people are ok with treating others like nothings but then we should just questioned for responding the only way we can……a few boos. I’ll boo the coach not the person, he’s coming here to beat us and ruin our day. Just like in all sports everywhere, people get booed and it’s ok. It’s not a knock on anyone’s chaeacter, part of the game geez.

He can have his day of flowers down the road, when he retires or shows some humility aka Pitino. But he did a lot for the state as a human, appreciate that but booing the opposing coach…..not the person.

I sure hope no one boos but I wouldn’t bet a few don’t act stupid. A nice little ovation and play ball I say. An ovation for Ellen would be awesome as well. She is a class act.
Word is that Ellen will not be n attendance.

Ellen totally hated this move I wouldn't doubt if she doesn't have a secret stash home in Lexington somewhere lol

I really don't get the morality stance on this.

John Calipari is the Head Coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks. He is, by definition, the enemy. We don't owe the enemy coach cheers or anything.

Boo him if you want.

Cheer him if you want.

But telling people how to respond aint it.

Internet moralists say booing is bad so we all gotta pretend we don’t condone booing lol
And they are probably the same ones screaming “refs you suck” every game while refusing to
stand for their team. The snowball effect is real. SMH

I wouldn't have booed Bobby Knight and I hated him and still do hate him; I just think booing is rude behavior and I don't want people to think my parents didn't teach me good manners.

I agree we all have opinions of others and how they are to act. However at a sporting event I’m not there for a proper mannered show I’m there to give my team the advantage. To each their own.
