If our opponent does not have a player quick enough to stay with Wheeler, we can beat anybody we play, unless we shoot extremely poorly … especially against a zone.

Likely we run into somebody in the tourney. Cal can’t rely on Wheeler beating his man.
Keep in mind Carolina doesn’t have a single rim protector either. Duke did. This is a factor.
I think a bigger key, is if they do and Wheeler is having a game like ND, then does Cal go away from him and run some point guard by committee with TyTy and Mintz.
I do not disagree with you, at all, but we just shot so poorly and were outrebounded against ND, it would be difficult to beat any reasonably capable team.
