With all due respect, I'm not one to settle for mediocrity.Granting the benefit of the doubt here, you may not be aware of this. Before Stoops got here, 7-5 was considered an unusually successful football season. In UK football history, there have been four 10-win seasons. Stoops produced two of those four. I don't expect to change your mind. You are entitled to your opinion, but you are not entitled to your own set of facts.
But, they offered him the job.you would have a better chance to win the mega million lottery than Coach Stoops being chosen and hired by aTm as their head coach. Maybe as assistant defensive coordinator. There are 25+ coaches that aTm would want before they got down to Stoops. Name me ONE team in SEC that would trade their coach for Stoops.
Sorry your giddy about winning 1 of 3 games in the SEC every year.Sorry you lost your bet on U of L. hahaha!

Not complaining about them hiring Stoops or the job he’s done. I am referencing the long term contracts they’ve given to Stoops and Cal.Or maybe you are.
It was highly unusual because it was hardly possible to go 7-5 since we didn’t start playing 12 games until 2006. Since that time jokers last 2 seasons and stoops’ first 3 are the seasons we haven’t made it to a bowl.Granting the benefit of the doubt here, you may not be aware of this. The concern going forward are these inconvenient numbers. There are two buckets that make up the vast majority of success in stoops resume. His non p5 record is 31-2. He is also 20-2 against these specific coaches muschamp, mason/Lea at Vandy, and Odom. All defensive coaches. Throw in the inept satterfield and he is 24-2. Those same schools he’s 7-12 against with other coaches. The problem going forward is only Lea is still coaching out of that bunch and is the only defensive coach in the sec now outside of saban and smart that we can face. Throw Venebles in there too coming on the way if you want but those guys all have offenses. We’ve already seen that the replacements at all those non Vandy schools are more along the lines of toss up games for us now instead of win 4 or 5 out of 5.
Beating brohm was a good win but if we don’t figure some things out they’re going to take some games from us in the next few seasons. As good of a season as they had they played with a third string backup qb transfer. There isn’t really any way going forward for us to sniff an occasional high win season if he can’t figure out some modicum of offense and I just don’t know if that is even possible given that in 12 seasons he only has 2 offenses in the upper half of division 1 football. Getting a functional offense together isn’t on NIL or anybody else other than stoops at this point.
Go root for someone else, then? I'd say Louisville but Stoops owns them. He's literally had the most success of any coach not named Bear at UK and you're acting like he's terrible. Dude has completely changed the program. With all due respect, I'm not one to settle for mediocrity.
I went to the first couple of turd bowls, it was fun. 2018 Citrus Bowl was the best ever.
Fact is, winning 1 out of 3 SEC football games ain't worth 9 mil.
