Has anyone heard anything on Miles Bridges visit?

I talked to two people who had insider information.

The first one said the visit sealed the deal, Bridges has committed, and that he was keeping quiet about it while he let Izzo and Clappy the Clown know he was coming to Kentucky -- a way to not rub their faces in how great Kentucky was, and how he was blown away by Calipari.

The second guy saidt the kid decently. He's not posting about it so as to not look foolish after he goes to MSU. Bridges told Cal early in the meeting he had decided to go to Michigan State, and that the rest of the weekend was just going through the motions so as to trea

By the way, both of these guys have been wrong in the past, so take this information for what it is worth.

I dont believe this at all as no kid would walk in and tell Cal hey guess what, Im not coming. Cal could at that point leave the kid in the dorm and call it a day and not do one thing. That didnt happen. I think Cal had the kid in his sights for a long time. I think we have him personally.

If its a tough call, then it could mean he is having a hard time finding a way to tell UK no. And Dave said he is a low key guy, so might not be good. Who knows anymore but I trust Cal all the way.

The sad thing is, joking or not, that's actually believable when it comes to insiders information. I think we land this kid and don't care if we are hearing anything or not. On the 3rd, we will find out. Cal has been hard recruiting this kid and we miss so many of the elite sfs, we eventually have to get one. This is the kid.

Pretty much the way I see it . He has the best sources . However he didn't say it was over yet .

I don't concede to MSU just yet but the more I think about it I really don't like that he set an announcement date right after he visited them. I want this kid really bad. But whatever. Worst case scenario, even if we don't get him OR Gabriel, we give our 3 spot to a sophomore Matthews and a senior Mulder. I can think of a lot worse fates than that.

For what it's worth -- as of 30 minutes ago -- Jerry Meyer STILL sticking with UK -- saying his "Intel" hasn't wavered on this.

I think we're reading the tea leaves wrongly. He, like many others, ala Wiggins, Poythress, many others, are quiet kids who are not expressive. Just because he didn't do cartwheels doesn't mean a thing. Hell, Wiggins stayed in his host mothers house, in his room, for hours upon hours playing video games because he didn't want to be around all the hoopla. Lots of kids are like that. From what I hear, Bridges may fit that mold, and we may be reading it wrong.

I still think UK will land him, but do acknowledge that MSU is also in a good position. I ain't giving up.

That's good to hear. Honestly - it's just so tough to tell. Everyone thought Murray to Oregon was a done deal - esp after "the" tweet. No one thought Cal for Brown - everyone thought it was Michigan, maybe UK -- Meyer is with you - he still says UK -

No -- just sharing my opinion is all. Didn't know I wasn't allowed to have one. I clearly said in Cal we trust - but it is weird how we seemed to be sitting pretty with certain guys so long - now it's changing. Maybe people are wrong on MB and we'll be OK - I hope so!!

Recruiting always goes like this. We never get everybody we want, and there are always surprises.

Not to mention there is always smoke of some sort leading up to announcements.

Got REALLY tired this spring with all the whiners acting like Cal had lost his touch. Number one class after number one class and some of you still think the sky is falling.
