Happiest UK NCAA Tourney win

I clicked on this post for the sole purpose of seeine how many people mentioned the OSU game in 2011. I have been a fan for a long time, and other than the Championship games, that was my favorite tournament game. No one was giving us a chance, and picking OSU was a logical choice, but deep down I thought we could win. Not to mention all the great plays in that game by both teams.

Not counting titles, it would go like this...

1. 1998 Duke
2. 2011 Ohio State
3. 2014 Louisville (This one is sweet and more fun than the 2012 final four game)

This is a really good list! I would add the 1975 game over undefeated Indiana and call it a day!

2014 Louisville sweet 16. We were down the whole game but stole it in the end. My main reason was because it caused the greatest internet meltdown I've ever seen on the Louisville scout site. That board says the nastiest things about our players and coach. The meltdown lasted forever too.

UK had the world on the edge of their chairs regardless of their fandom!

1985 game against Washington. We weren't even supposed to be in the tourney. One of the biggest upsets looking at seeds. We were 12 seed beating 5 seed after being shipped out to play in their region. Game started late and I got to stay up past bedtime alone on a school night. Kenny walker destroyed them and detlef Shrempf.

that one was a feel good win,some of the early round beat downs we handed out in the Pitino years were fun also.

Easily UK's 1975 win over that previously undefeated IU team. Loved seeing Knight's face turn a brighter red than IU's uniforms!

I believe it was '85. Kevin Grevey and UK beat an undefeated IU team in the regional final. Then lost a close game to UCLA in Woodens last game.

I believe that was in 75,I lived in Indiana at the time,very good time.

Not particularly significant but I've watched the first half of last year's UCLA game at least 10 times. Maybe the best defense I've seen in over 45 years of watching college basketball. In spite of the last game of the season, still makes me laugh listening to Raftery try to find words to describe the annihilation of the illegitimate one time dynasty.

dook game, '98. Came back from 17 points down. Hit 4 straight 3's. Cut it to 5. In just a few short minutes. Magloire breaking Wojos back. Bill PACCKER just crying over the fact UK beat his beloved Dookies. Such a gratifying win in so mnat ways. If you remember the Dookies were and still are the media darlings. CATS owned it.
