Hagans/Richards Arguing Video

Richards should be yelling that @Hagans, Maxey, and IQ. When he's down on the block after working had to get position pass him the effing ball. It will get you better looks on the perimeter.
That's what I mean. Richards should get in someone's face. Get in that huddle they have and tell them in some not so nice words to get him the ball.

Nick is the Junior and has seniority on this team. He needs to nut up and demand the ball. Needs to let Cal know about it too. Our guards don’t even look for our bigs most of the time. The only offense we get at the 4 or 5 spot is put back dunks or lobs. If the big guys are fighting for position, LET THEM EAT!
I may be wrong but wasn't this when they were playing on D and Nick grabbed a board but turned it over when he couldn't get it out?

If we go home in the tournament on another bad and selfish Hagans performance.. he better pack his bags asap. He's tettering on villain status, for right or wrong.
We might as well go to a 4 guard offense and shoot a ton of 3's because we suck at getting the post players involved. We might not even have a post player next year so we better start becoming more perimeter oriented like a lot of teams these days.

I just posted a thread on our guards last 4 games. Look at the post players shot totals in it.
And PJ missed another 10 free throws in an NCAA tourney game. Our teams do always find a way to piss down our leg against inferior competition at the most inopportune times.
I'm annoyed with Hagans. But listen. Richards got manhandled by ****ing Fulkerson. That's the difference in this game.

He's better than last year, but not good enough defensively to stay on the floor for long stretches, and not good enough offensively to take pressure off the enigmatic guards.
That's exactly when it happened. Ashton tried to take the ball from him with a UT player around. It was a very boneheaded play by Ashton.
So Hagans refuses to go in the game, tries to steal the ball from his own teammate then argues with him LOL.

Time to go Maxey at PG and Brooks or Juzang at the 3. This is not the time of the year for a roster shake up but Hagans clearly needs to be sent a message.
This was as classic a meltdown as I've seen since we lost to Georgetown in final s of the NCAA tournament. I didn't know until this morning about the Hagans, Richards and Cal dustup.

I am so glad Hagans will be gone after this year. What right does he have to tell Nick to pass him the ball? So he can brick more layups and 3s? So he can inevitably turn it over for the 1000th time?
If I had a teammate(s) like that I'd just get position and get a couple 3 second calls until they started passing me the ball. A couple of those always got the PG's attention.

I think all this bashing Hagans is a bit over board. Criticism is warranted, but we need him to perform. Richards played poorly last night. They were all frustrated. Maxey took some bad shots, Quickly couldn’t hit shit. No one played well. Cal was off his game. Of course they are going to go after one another at times, it’s natural when things aren’t going your way and you are frustrated.
I’ll wait to see how they respond, how Cal responds. This team is good, maybe not great. But, good enough to make a run to the Final Four. We need Hagans to do that. I think this overreacting is crazy.

Exactly...…….as every big man should have done......Cuz, Bam, & especially KAT in the final four game against Wi, instead of the twins squandering the game

Yep. Kinda like if you’re on the O line and your QB is a douche, let your assignment through a couple times to sack his ass. Hard.
