Some of our "fans" think he will.Wonder if Cal slupper Seth Greenberg still believes that Calipari will soon make the Final Four at Arkansas.
The full presser adds the context, but at the end of the day 2015 broke the Cal we all knew and enjoyed. His personality changed. His coaching changed. He became scared to death to lose. That's why I wanted him gone. The Cal that rolled into Lexington, that recruited his tail off, died on the floor on April 4, 2015. he wasn't coming back. Arkansas wasn't bringing him back. There is a bit of schadenfreude in watching this, but overall, it just makes me sad.
This is a guy who was on top of the college basketball world a decade ago.
Seeing him for what he is today, a broken man who is a mere parody of his former self, should be a cautionary tale for anyone who makes it to the pinnacle of their profession.
Bruiser strongly implied that.Didn't CCC say that he wasn't going to let Z shoot any 3s?
Was thinking the exact same thing. Duke would have murdered UK if Cal were still in Lexington. CMP is a much better coach IMO. If he can just get talent in the same area code as Cal did, we are in for some very good times! Hell, we may well be in for a VERY good year this year. I'm so just enjoying the ride right now!If Cal were coaching the exact same team that Pope did on Tuesday, that Duke team would have beaten them by 25.
i dont think there is any argument about thatIf Cal were coaching the exact same team that Pope did on Tuesday, that Duke team would have beaten them by 25.
Big Z has to be regretting his decision to not play for Pope. He would have as many threes as he wanted.I had the misfortune of watching the first half and it was some of the worst basketball I have ever laid my eyes on. It was like watching UK playing Bellarmine, except at least bellarmine runs a competent offense.
DJ Wagners brain works like this-
“Option 1 drive
option 2 drive
Ah the drive is not there and they’re taking it away…
Maybe I should drive again”
Adou and Big Z saved them. And big z played like crap until he started floating from the outside and hit six 3s.
Gonna guess that he might have just shot the first couple on his own and since he made them, Cal had no excuse to stop him from taking more. Will see if Cal does what he should and allows Z to go out beyond the line more often going forward. Z is not a true center, he's more of a stretch 4 despite his height.Didn't CCC say that he wasn't going to let Z shoot any 3s?
He’ll give him a pass this year and start hyping up next year’s recruiting class. Then, we’ll be here this time next year having the exact same conversation.Wonder if Cal slupper Seth Greenberg still believes that Calipari will soon make the Final Four at Arkansas.
I can't answer for Big Z but I'm regretting his decision to not play for Pope. Anyone with half a brain could see that he fit this system better than Cal's where he has to post up on the block.Big Z has to be regretting his decision to not play for Pope. He would have as many threes as he wanted.
No. That’s how dumb Cowl was. What are you talking about? He started over two first rounders last year. THAT'S how good he is.
Pope's recruiting class for next year is very good now. He might not be too far off from CCC-type classes already, but the thing is Pope won't need those types to get at least if not likely better results. Was thinking the exact same thing. Duke would have murdered UK if Cal were still in Lexington. CMP is a much better coach IMO. If he can just get talent in the same area code as Cal did, we are in for some very good times! Dude ..Last week Jimmy Dykes said that Cal had at least 1 but probably 2 national championships left in him ! I’m like “WHAT!” lolWonder if Cal slupper Seth Greenberg still believes that Calipari will soon make the Final Four at Arkansas.
It’s been said that Bo Ryan has Cals testicles in a jar on his mantle. I don’t know if that is the truth though. The full presser adds the context, but at the end of the day 2015 broke the Cal we all knew and enjoyed. His personality changed. His coaching changed. But he's so egotistical that he can't see or won't see the writing on the wall. I thank the lord every single day that SOB is gone and we have Mark Pope.
It wasn’t his decision.Big Z has to be regretting his decision to not play for Pope. He would have as many threes as he wanted.
A few of the smart ones have caught on early for what a fraud he is. This reporter looks like he may be one of them. Expect his credentials to get pulled and exiled from the program for dare questioning his Lordship. He expects everyone to touch the hem of his garment like he's a prophet. Most of them think it is cute at first until the losses quickly mount up.
Massage the clock
Same old Cal, even broke out basketball Bennie’s and talked about playing zone. Same excuses. 7-14 FT to end the game. “How? We are a good FT shooting team,” yeah ok Cal….
I respectfully disagree. 2016 was competitive even without a center. 2017 was amazing but got Higginsed. THAT game broke Cal. Let's be honest, it broke a lot of us. We got hosed. The full presser adds the context, but at the end of the day 2015 broke the Cal we all knew and enjoyed. His personality changed. His coaching changed. He became scared to death to lose. That's the only question I have. I wonder how the 5 stars will play under Pope? What I mean is most not all but most 5 stars wanna play ME ball not team ball.Pope's recruiting class for next year is very good now. He might not be too far off from CCC-type classes already, but the thing is Pope won't need those types to get at least if not likely better results.
He seems to me like he would rather be a social worker than a coach. He really should’ve just retired. I think he enjoys aspects of his job , but he seems to dislike having to do actual coaching obligations.
I know, I about passed out when he said massage the ball. I’m like what??? You are playing Troy who can’t score, they literally can’t even hold onto the ball and you don’t want to up the pressure, you want to massage the ball!!!He tripled down on STALL BALL to end games. Unreal. Just ****ing unreal.
Here's a question that nobody ever brings up when he constantly has his "We had 5 guys practicing....." WTF is going on where these guys are in a Triage Center for recovering from ****ing basketball offseason/practices? Are they playing full contact football without pads? Are they living out Gladiator training?
The poor fans at Arkansas will get tired of this nonsense by the new year. It's just insane.
DJ Wagner is washed. Just completely washed. He needs to play 4 yrs of CBB but the last 2 as far away from Cal as possible. This is becoming Kevin Walls like only Kevin had the torn ACL excuse and it was in the 1980's where recovery/surgical procedures weren't as assured of a comeback. DJ? He's age of what should be a FR entering CBB now, but still.....he looks awful.
Cal better be careful with Adou--he played well his Daddy may want to revisit his NIL payout like last year. LOL
The only thing believable that came out of Cal's mouth is that he doesn't know who their next opponent is. He would have been even more accurate if he had simply ended has statement as "I don't even know...".Good Lord. He did it again. The best part was the reporter saying we don’t get you that often so we have to ask you the questions when we can.
He has truly lost it. He has become the crazy uncle who is locked away in the back bedroom and can only come out for Thanksgiving.I know, I about passed out when he said massage the ball. I’m like what??? You are playing Troy who can’t score, they literally can’t even hold onto the ball and you don’t want to up the pressure, you want to massage the ball!!!
He will soon be in a padded room.Wonder if Cal slupper Seth Greenberg still believes that Calipari will soon make the Final Four at Arkansas.
He should get paid honestly. He’s legit Arkansas’s best player and it’s not real close outside Fland. I would have loved to have kept Fland, Z, and Theiro. I mean I’m happy with what we have though but those 3 can play and would fit this system well. I think Thiero in particular would give us something we lack In athleticism. He tripled down on STALL BALL to end games. Unreal. Just ****ing unreal.

It’s wild he went from calling T Jones a selfish mfer during a game to saying he can’t take any one’s heart. He seems to me like he would rather be a social worker than a coach,
That’s another thing like how do you not know this. That doesn’t exactly make you look good. “I’m all about today.” That’s obvious because you definitely don’t seem to have a plan with how you want the team to progress. The only thing believable that came out of Cal's mouth is that he doesn't know who their next opponent is. He would have been even more accurate if he had simply ended has statement as "I don't even know...".
Troy was so bad they couldn't push the ball up the court without falling down.I had the misfortune of watching the first half and it was some of the worst basketball I have ever laid my eyes on. It was like watching UK playing Bellarmine, except at least bellarmine runs a competent offense.

He doesn't know because it doesn't matter. He prepares for all teams the same way. That’s another thing like how do you not know this. That does t exactly make you look good. “I’m all about today.” That’s obvious because you definitely don’t seem to have a plan with how you want the team to progress.
Well you didn't read between the lines. This is what happened last year at UK. His Dad is a nutjob. He should get paid honestly. He’s legit Arkansas’s best player and it’s not real close outside Fland. I would have loved to have kept Fland, Z, and Theiro.
