GYERO

I considered letting be my "gimmick" when I got my feet wet in this thread. The "scout" or the motivational pep talk dude. Then I realized how much work that would be. God bless that man.
I think your posts that breakdown what you are seeing are always appreciated around here. Your ball knowledge has a lot of respect in this thread

We rolling out this lineup at some point next year?

Obi Agbim
Otega Oweh
Treysen Eaglestaff
Yaxel Lendeborg
Hannes Steinbach

Can we not find a center with a first name and last name I've never heard before? Steinbach basic AF.

I recall a dark time when all the tournament games were on CBS only. Looking back now, that f’ing sucked. I think 2010 was when they expanded to the other Turner channels.

Anyone have an 8 beating a 1 this year? Miss St/Duke or UConn/UF feels very tempting.

That Texas - Xavier game was pretty awesome. I'm all in on the first four now. Nice little lead in to the greatest sports day of the year.

There are certain guys - for maturity reasons - would have benefited by another year of college. Boogie was one. I think Tre Johnson could be another. He had bad body language in that game last night. Another year at Texas where he's the leader as a sophomore could help him out. Won't happen of course, but whatever.

I'm not on social media (except this I guess) but been getting some GREAT screen shots from some hens in the hood going at it on line. A nice little precursor to the games today.

I'd rather be a 10, 11, 12, 13 or 14 seed than an 8 or 9.

UL went from being so pissed that the committee shat all over them with an 8 seed, then they pivoted to:

- greatest 8 seed of all time (false, that would be UK*)
- they'll go on the greatest run of all time to the final four (false; that would also be UK 2014 - remember that team, CardNation?)

I just absolutely love that everything they ever do or ever have done in their pathetic existence, UK has already upstaged and eclipsed it. Tickles me to death.

*I can't remember if Villanova was an 8 or 9 seed when they beat Georgetown in Rupp.

Up until the 4 min mark the ncaa stripes allowed a free flowing game. Something Id like to see at 7PM tomorrow but not holding my breath.

Bombing triples obviously helps.

* Took off work today and tomorrow; first time in quite a while I am able to just enjoy the basketball for the entire opening weekend.

* Did 3 brackets in the name of charity. #1 is serious picks but UK winning it all in the name of love. 🤪
# 2 is serious picks with Auburn cutting down the nets, and # 3 is pure fantasy. Just picking what I wish could happen in every scenario.

* Doing a shrimp boil this evening. I got a weird craving that just came up out of the blue. That should keep me fed for a couple of days. Base liquid will start with Long Board Lager.

* I love Jeopardy and have watched it faithfully for 45 years plus. I have to admit that I am starting to really struggle with clues about current popular culture, especially TV/streaming shows. I have no idea how contestants keep up with all the obscure (to me) shows streaming now on various platforms.
There are the mainstream things, example White Lotus, that I know and watch, but for every one I have heard of there must be 10, I haven’t.

* I am so happy that the coach of my University of Kentucky Wildcats is Mark Pope. I don’t think it can be said enough that what he has managed to accomplish this year with this team (that I absolutely love) he has managed to cobble together and coach up to be more than ever expected, is amazing. We might not have the horses to go all the way and I know it isn’t likely, but we certainly have the heart, and I will be cheering, and probably cussing like crazy, to try to lift them up. No matter what, this season will have a special place in my heart and I am sure looking forward to what can be possible in our future!

* Go Cats!! Beat everybody!! 💙

Agree. Even Matt Amodio, Immodium or whoever he is said last week that those clues should be relegated to Colin Jost's Jeopardy show for the same reasons.

Kelsey is the guy who may start stuff, with his big mouth, but he always has someone to protect him vibe.

My Jeopardy average is 27 correct (out of the two rounds, 60 possible) , but a hair above 55 percent on Final Jeopardy, but yes, the pop culture questions are a weak spot. IOW - I probably wouldn't win at Jeopardy.
