Damn good road win. Just keep everyone healthy through the SEC Tournament. 🙏

Tying the record with 8 Top 15 wins this season should tell you all you need to know about our coach. Team thrown together in a month, only played 7 games with a full roster, backup PG lost early in the year and shooting guard lost in the last 3 weeks. That’s one hell of an accomplishment. Agree with BBdK, this team is going to be remembered for a long time and brought us all back to where we deserve!!

Would feel better about our chances if Robinson was still playing, but we beat a record tying number of ranked teams with different players out of a lot of them. Players we didn’t expect to get much time, are stepping up and making a difference. We’re the team no one wants in their bracket. Get to the Sweet 16 and it’s anybody’s game.

Normally don’t root for the SEC teams, but it would be funny if they make up 3/4 of the Sweet 16. Would be a nice validation of just how tough that gauntlet really was.

Last minute, took the girls to Chuck E. Cheese’s last night, maybe more so for nostalgia feelings for me. Girls had a blast just bc it was new and games and lights everywhere.

But, all hope for humanity and decency is gone. Imagine it was like being in prison. No rules. No courtesy. Feared for my life a few times.

Will not be going back to Chuck E. Cheese’s

A friend has gifted me a couple of tix for Thursday's evening session, but in order to prevent a Civil War at my house, I'm going to need to purchase a couple of more. Is there a better place other than the standard online ticket sites to buy another pair? A few years back (a decade maybe?) I knew that some of you guys hopped on to other school's websites for ticket info and scored some nice seats thanks to people like Ole Miss fans who didn't even know they had a basketball team or whatnot.

Well it took 2 weeks but the Lakers are now in the same spot as Dallas with both of their top stars hurt or out.

I doubt there will be as much outrage against the Lakers despite Luka being as hurt as AD and what Dallas wanted to move away from.

Maybe if Luka didn’t flop around like he had been shot every time someone grazed him or even came close to touching him, trying to draw a foul, he wouldnt be hurt so much. He’s the biggest bitch in a league full of whining bitches.

Chandler’s emergence to a contributor has been awesome. I was hoping we’d see it earlier in the season after he adjusted from riding a bike through Africa for two years but regardless, he’s progressing nicely. Hope he sticks around. Important piece next year.

Oweh is such a fun player. Microwave scorer and good for two boneheaded passes a game but the guy just brings it. Going into the year I didn’t think we really had a guy who could just go get buckets and if there was that guy, it would be Robinson. Thought it would be scoring by committee and while that’s somewhat been the case, Oweh has become an alpha type. Love it.

Happy for Carr. He had some big boy rebounds yesterday and just generally had a tremendous floor game.

Hoping we don’t end up in Raleigh as I suspect that would be a shitty draw but also selfishly hope we end up in Raleigh.

Happy March!

I wonder at what point a Big Ten/SEC team in some way adopts a smaller school(s) to become a "feeder" program. There have to be relationships forming with the sheer numbers of transactions between Universities with the portal.

Hypothetically, Fueger could go coach Murray St, run the same systems as Pope and have a mutually beneficial relationship between the schools on transfers.

Need to take care of business Thursday. Want another shot at Bama.

He isn't even the biggest bitch on his team.

One would think that given LeBron's stature - in conversation as the GOAT; longevity of 20+ years; elder statesman of the NBA; not to mention his sheer physical size - would be too proud to conduct himself as a mediocre flopping bitch.

One would be wrong.

Chandler is good enough to play here. He belongs here. Any of you who've been putting him down, saying you just don't see it with him, hoping he transfers back to Utah, well, you obviously don't have a damn clue what you're talking about about.
Chandler looks different athletically from the beginning of the season to now. But yes, he is going to be a stud at UK in my opinion.

He has shown glimpses of some bounce in his step.

The vast majority of his growth comes from the game slowing down to him. Until recently, he’d get major jitters with the ball which caused him to have poor vision. That’s why he made terrible decisions consistently.

I’m a real sucker for kids that set up a lemonade stand or some other type venture on the side of the road selling stuff. I will always stop or turn around, if nothing else to encourage their entrepreneurial spirit. One day a kid and his buddies were selling “Moon Rocks” which were just rocks they had dug up out of a ditch. Today this young lady was selling Girl Scout cookies, lemonade, homemade bracelets and hotdogs. She even had this fancy hotdog machine like you would see at the movies which she said had received at Christmas. I got a lemonade and a box of cookies. I always give a little more than asking price and let them keep the change.

I say that to say this. Those damn GS cookies are a ripoff at 7.00 a box. Also, that is the 3rd girl I’ve bought from and the price has been different each time. I’m convinced there is a racket going on but I can’t pass up those sweet, sweet Tagalongs and Thin Mints.

Don't mean to flex on you boys, but Mrs. Dougan and I hit up 610 Magnolia on Friday and I have to give a review. For those of you who are not familiar with this restaurant, it is one Chef Edward Lee's signature places, and it's described as "a modern approach to the Southern Table". The menu there is very limited, as in, you're getting the five course meal regardless, but you do have a few choices on a few of the courses (e.g., do you want elk or hen?). We of course opted for the wine pairing to go with the dinner, as if there was any other way.

So here's how it went:
  • Starter: 610 Magnolia's signature hors d'oeuvre, which is a BLT pate. This was pretty amazing. It was a small square that kind of looked like those wafer candies but tasted like a BLT but only better. It was like they chopped up a BLT, coated it with some sort of breading, and then baked it I guess. Although that didn't sound appealing, it was fantastic. No drinks yet, but Mrs. Dougan was looking lovely.
  • Course 1 (Soup): Wagyu in a Pho with Mushrooms. This was good too, but didn't blow me away. A few weeks ago I had Shabu Shabu which was just as good but like 30X the amount of Wagyu, so maybe it was just coming off that comparison. At any rate, Mrs. Dougan was still looking lovely and our first wine came out. It was a dry white wine that absolutely paired perfectly.
  • Course 2 (Pasta): Another 610 signature which is a squash ravioli which they served with bread. They paired it with a Chablis. Now the wine didn't taste that good at first, but paired with the pasta it was tremendous. A perfect combination - kudos to the chef and sommelier. Mrs. Dougan: still lovely. Me: wait, something is wrong, stomach feels kind odd.
  • Course 3 (Seafood): Some scallop dish with an Old Bay seasoning. Looked great but the smell of any food was bothering me now. Paired with a salty white wine that my wife loved but I didn't feel like drinking. I'm starting to sweat. Don't really care what my wife looked like at this point.
  • Course 4 (Main): I went with the Elk. Ate a few bites. I need to get the f out of here. I'll leave Mrs. Dougan there if she doesn't stop talking. Hurry up and eat so we can get to the next course.
  • Course 5 (Dessert): Some covered smoked bourbon thing that when they let the smoke out almost made me run for the bathroom. Kept it together for appearances sake, but was dying inside. Asked for the check immediately and ran to get the car.
Aftermath: Sweating profusely during the drive home. Pulled into the garage and ran for the bathroom where I spent the next 7.5 hours in a version of hell I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. I was sick all day Saturday and didn't eat anything today either, so I don't think it was food poisoning. But at any rate, I'm never going back there again. 0/10 stars. Would not recommend.

Norovirus. It is very active right now. It has been going around Louisville from what I hear (my sister and several of her friends had it last week). People almost always associate it with the last thing they ate, but its incubation time is generally 24 hours, maybe 12 at the fastest and 48 hours at the slowest. So you probably picked it up the day before and it just so happened to start hitting you while out to eat.

I know nobody cares about DrakeBasketballsucka, but some of the articles I've read about Ben McCollum are fascinating. They are absolutely insistent on not taking bad shots, to the point where they'll take a shot clock violation rather than force up a bad one. They turn it over on 20 percent of possessions for that very reason. And the reason is that he knows that a bad shot likely leads to a run-out, and he doesn't have the athletes to slow down a team in transition. At least with a shot clock violation, they have time to set up their defense.

I don't think I'd ever heard a coach say that sort of thing, and I've certainly thought of that principle.

Fran is the ultimate bitch, but the guy always had great/fun offenses -- can't imagine going polar opposite with a guy like McCollum at Iowa, as a fan. Would seem a better fit & natural progression from Bennett at UVA, but seems like Odom is the pick there?

I watched them this weekend. They seem like an absolute pain in the ass to play. Would LOVE to see them match up with Arkansas.

Hate my job.

Lenten Fish Fridays are an excellent way to splash some beers down. Guinness and HighLife black and tans, along with a pour of RR15. Ridiculous.

Getting into some brighter, single origin coffees/espresso. Next rec:
Mother Tongue Coffee - Bunum Wo Peaberry. From Papua New Guinea. Amazing.

Been on an electronic instrumental kick. Kiosmos is a nice little Spotify explore.

Did the Big Dawg get the Bowling Green gig? Radio silence from UKFB.💁🏼‍♂️

Corned Beef fiesta for next Sunday. ☘️

I’ve had some deep chest congestion for about 3 weeks now. Cant shake it. Sound like a damn purring cat when I exhale. Super embarrassing!

This is going to surprise people but I don’t watch the wnba. I’m one of the few holdouts I guess. But I am confused why Angel Reese is such a heel in the sports world? I know she was sorta the medias rival for our lord and saviorette Caitlyn Clark, but why am I supposed to hate her? (I think I know why). She needs a new PR team. The angel reese meal at McDonald’s isn’t gonna cut it. Maybe a cameo on Severance or something. She could play Mr. Milchicks baby sister who comes to visit from Chicago. She’s rough around the edges but she’s got a heart of gold!!

What do we gotta do to get the Leach Report and KSR on an FM station in Lexington?? 2 of the biggest shows in Kentucky and in their home city the broadcast sounds like a transmission from a sci-fi movie about aliens making contact with the president via cb radio
