I brought my boys over to see my parents tonight, and my dad was like, hey, want to see my new axe? I said sure. It’s a nice axe - very sharp, synthetic handle, the works. I said, where’d you get said axe? Thought he would say Lowe’s or something.

My dad said his accountant threw it into their “deal,” to even it out. I said, what? He said he traded a big bundle of old rebar he had laying around the yard for the spices his accountant was selling. I was even more confused. I guess his accountant also makes homemade barbecue rubs, and my old man got like four quarts of premium rub from this guy, in exchange for said old pile of rebar.

But my old man, ever the street barterer that he is, convinced the accountant to throw in a nice axe to even out the deal.

Now, why an accountant is selling spices out of his vehicle in the first place, or rolling around with an axe, or looking for a bunch of old rebar, I have no idea. I finished my third bud heavy and went on my way.

Although realistically impossible someone figured out there’s still a path for a 9 way tie for the SEC championship and when it’s all said and done we would be the #1 seed.

So let’s go Georgia, LSU, Missouri, Tennessee, Ole Miss and MSU.

I said the day we beat them on Jan 4, somehow that 1-0 record vs Florida is going to be a huge bonus for us, in some sort of tiebreaker or matchup. Not sure how yet, but we hold that card.

Also said last weekend, we are due some good luck, and I think we'll get some.

That good luck may not be a favorable seed or draw in the SECT, maybe not even in the NCAAT - at least initially.

But somehow, it is coming. It is going to happen. Usually, things balance out long term.

Add the fact that our injury report has a positive trend, and I'm very optimistic.

A lot of people made fun of the ACC when they chose to have games on the CW… but the production/announcers/etc of both CW football and basketball games has generally been really good. Kudos to them for not only making more games available over-the-air/free but also doing it well.

Imagine if that was one of our white players stomping on a black player from Duke. We would still be hearing about what a horrific hate crime that was.
