Yes. I think all 3 will play. Theiro and Z have a chance to be really good. Wagner, Knox, and Richmond will probably at least get a cup of coffee on their names and measurables.. Davis was the arguably the @1 transfer. Boogie didn't play but he's obviously 1.

-A few thoughts:
*Pope finally deserves a bit of questioning re: lineups. He's getting into that Cal platoon shit. Few games in a row we're getting 2 or 3 very limited guys out there at once.
*Cal played his best for 34+ minutes. Amari Williams, probably the best player on the floor (other than Theiro), played 25 minutes. 22/11 in 25 minutes. That's hard for me to wrap my head around. Big Z probably would've fouled out rather than hit a couple daggers.
*Our free throw offense is a real problem.
*I told BBdk before the game I'd feel a lot better if LaMont was playing. That's a game suited for his skillset. Not having a PG is a real problem.
*Would have liked to see more than 1 late desperation zone. Mix it in to f*ck with Wagner.

Pope's positive attitude and the whole "we focus on what you can do not what you can't do" is a double edged sword in that can raise the level of a player/team by installing confidence...I think it also occasionally leads him to trust guys in situations that maybe they are not ready for.

We have to ride our horses big fella, extended minutes for the Chandler, Perry, BG squad just isn't working, stagger those guys.

The Portland Anchor's Mock Draft has Adou and Fland going late first round and Big Z going mid to late 2nd round. They have DJ, Knox and Richmond getting drafted in 2026 draft.

They are light years ahead of us athletically. We are much more skilled. Problem was they shot out of their ass and matched or exceeded our skill for one night. We can’t just have a random, lucky game where we’re way more athletic than usual.

Losing loose balls, missing free throws and committing careless turnovers is getting old. Seems like stuff that could be coached up. We can’t afford to do that stuff in this league, with this roster and these injuries.

Arkansas was 1-6, averaging 64ppg in SEC play, because they're nowhere near as good as the sum of their parts. That didn't just change overnight when they stepped foot in Lexington. After 20 games, you are what the stats say you are.

They rallied behind their coach and out-played us. DJ, Adou and Z each played their best games of the season (and probably Davis for that matter). We didn't rise the occasion. Brea was a black hole. Oweh was uninterested. And Pope coached a clunker.

Arkansas should be a Top 10'ish team, and they would with another coach, who played a different way. Not sure how that's even debatable. The pieces don't fit b/c Cal has no clue how to make them fit, that's what good coaches do. Saturday we gifted him the recipe, but he won't embrace it. Johnelle Davis magically looked like the free-wheeling All American caliber stud he was the previous 2 years...wonder why?

Not a coach in America that, if starting a program and was able to pick between the two, would choose our roster over Arkansas. Pope did an incredible job putting together ours in 2 weeks, but despite his egg Saturday, we're overachieving massively due to him, overall.

Not going to be a homer and say I’d take ours over Arkansas but I don’t think NBA prospects matter as I’ve seen Cal lose several times with way more talent and we had enough to beat them.

We’ve seen the same playbook where a shooter doesn’t play up for a season at UK and the Shavir was hurt and that shooter plays loose as he finds the ball in his hands more, ie Fland out and Davis with ball in hand more.

I want them in Nashville and I think we are better.

Saturday demonstrated why Kentucky needed rid of Cal in a myriad of ways.

First of all, (recent) former players posting what they did on social media confirmed what we already knew, which is that the program was growing increasingly adversarial with the fan base and the relationship had become irreparably toxic. Obviously that viewpoint starts at the top.

Second, while we didn’t play our best, Arkansas looked like a top 5 team in the country. Yet they’re now 2-6 in conference and still not even on the bubble. I realize I’m repeating what others have said, but that’s a joke with that roster. Coming into the season, if you had said we were going to be a top 15ish team but lose to Arkansas, probably most people would’ve taken that. But now it’s disappointing - and the biggest hit to our resume so far - because they have so massively underachieved.

Obviously Arkansas fans are justifiably excited about that win, but once that wears off I’d be pretty frustrated as well. I mean, surely 50% of that effort would’ve been enough to beat Oklahoma at home.

We definitely have issues, but they’re issues that are keeping us from maybe being SEC champs or a national title contender - not in danger of missing the tournament.

I may have mentioned this before, but Z is 7-foot-3 and shooting 43% from 3. Once you get past the lottery or so, it’s pretty amazing how many NBA draft picks are pure fliers.

Whoever gets that dude in the 2nd round should be very, very happy.

-Pilgrim saying he's hearing that they're actively pushing to get Butler back and that's the expectation instead of him being shut down for the rest of the year. Said that things are trending in the right direction.

-Kerr has to be close too.

-Carr probably isn't going to get much better so may just be a bench role for him the rest of the year.

-Insane how calm, cool and collected Cal was Saturday. Had to be heavily medicated.

-I'd take any of Knox, Richmond, Wagner, Z or Adou if they were to go in the portal. All but Z have a level of toughness we'll need next year and Z is a perfect fit offensively obviously.

-The collective defense of Knox, Wagner, Richmond on our guards was the difference of the game IMO. They matched up with us really well.

-Williams has shut up a lot of his haters like Matt Jones, nice to see it.

-Need BG to give us a spark behind Williams because he's only going to be able to give us about 28 minutes max each game. My favorite BG is a ticked off BG.
