GYERO

Well we certainly have plenty of time to ponder about it. F’ing 9pm. 🤮

Cats by 90. If we are making some threes I think we roll by double digits tonight. Ark just doesn’t score enough. Need another big game from Willams on the glass.

Playing at 9 pm on Tuesday in Starkvegas sucks. This doesn't. We are playing at 9 pm on ESPN on Saturday night because Kentucky is the show.

Otega maybe good for a couple of head scratchers per game but he's also good for a couple of momentum changers where he single-handedly turns the tides. I love when things are starting to go wrong and he pulls a Don't Tug On Superman's Cape steal and dunk out of nowhere.

This team follows his demeanor -- cool confidence no matter what.

Also, I love screaming "CHAMPIONSHIP CHEST!" at the top of my lungs whenever that kid makes a big play. It is pretty fun. You should try it.

Agree with Hank. Huge OO fan (obv).

Can't count how many times he has rescued us with clutch plays. Very often after a missed shot or clanked FT of his own.

Small mistakes seem to make him find another gear, come right back and make a huge play, often in the very next possession.

Often coming with a pick-6 dunk. Lately seems like he's been good for at least one of those per game.

I've come to expect it. When you watch for it, it's uncanny.

If I know Cal he’ll try to rough up Jaxson Robinson. Not sure who’ll guard him because if it’s Thiero then Almonor/Carr have a field day, but whoever does will not be worried about fouling out.

With Butler out and against a team with less and Cal being a slow it down and control possessions type of coach that’s the key for Arkansas.

I don’t think it will work because it might slow down Robinsons scoring, but his ability to see the floor and pass is better than he gets credit for.

They could put Knox on Robinson he’s a pretty good defender or he would be fine on our 4s if Adou guards him.

If I were Cal I’d put Knox on Robinson to try to save Adou’s energy as they’re going to need him offensively.

- I thought Tuesday was Brea’s best overall game. Shot well, but got into the lane with his dribble a bit, helped bring the ball up, and competed hard on defense and the glass. Was really impressed with his rotations. Need that again.

- Is there any way to boo Brad specifically?

- Agree with @UnfrozenCatfanLawyer that Ravech is an order of magnitude worse than Dykes. Can just tell he’d rather be at Busch Stadium on a random July weekday.

I kind of like Jimmy Dykes.

- Did not mean to imply Pope doesn’t understand analytics - just thought it was funny he misused a couple terms (the other was points per possession, which is a team stat he applied to a player earlier in the year). Hand up, that’s on me. To be clear, I couldn’t be happier with Pope, can’t believe we have an analytically-minded guy who also understands the program, etc.

- Think it’s going to be hard for them to keep Z on the floor tonight, unless he’s drilling threes (and he might). He’s going to get bumhunted relentlessly.

- On paper, Cal’s system of man-to-man and switch-everything-no-matter-what is ripe for us to pick apart. Who knows for this particular game, though.

- Wasn’t a fan of the attempt at using Chandler at PG against Vandy, but running Williams there against Tennessee was a legit brilliant move and about as modern basketball as it gets.

- All 5 of our road opponents this year have banked in a 3 against us.

- Ball up top.

When I saw the line this AM I thought I saw 10.5, but now it’s 9.5.

What am I missing? Why would you be comfortable betting on Cal after what Arkansas has shown you.

- Forgot about Knox, and honestly most of Arkansas players really. It’s honestly astonishing they didn’t win a game until Fland was out.
