GYERO

Listening to that game recap was basically pot shooting old gyero posts.

"We don't run anything offensively"

"It's January, when do you expect progress offensively?"

"We just can't stay in front of guys"

"Hard to have so many individual guys out there when the coach isn't much of an X's and O's guy"

"There are no clearly defined roles for this team"

Reason number 1,234,729 why Rupp is superior to any other arena is the reaction that Garrison received on that zip pass to Jaxson to end the half. It's the exact sound I made 400 miles away and it perfectly respected the skill shown.

Edit: Having now watched Oweh yam on that guy about 100 times, is there any doubt they call the foul if the dunk missed? He got hammered about as much as the ball got hammered going through the hoop. It's such lazy officiating.

1. The Blur, w/ the iconic Al McGuire later claiming "a star is born" as he led the comeback against the Irish. Dunking over the high flyer Woolridge was a bonus.

2. James Lee....given that this was the icing on the title in what was UK's best team ever, and erased a load of pressure off of Joe B, this is probably #1 in most cases.

3. DA on the Cards...nuff said.

You're welcome.

Minnifield is the obv #1, any other take is just plain contrarianism and eg-no-ra-moose
MKG is #2 for me
DA on UL is #3 - probably watched that 10,000 times on the Windows 95 Media Player, downloaded with a free AOL CD
Oweh's belongs somewhere in the next tier for me, along with:
AD vs Louisville in the F4. One handed oop.
Darius Miller one handed oop vs St. Johns
Azubuike had a handful. Notably against UGA, Vandy and South Carolina.
James Young title game
Perry Stevenson NIT
McCarty 360
Toppin 360
DA on IU with the shimmy
Heshimu wraparound vs IU
Anything pre-Pitino was really before my time. Dirk's is all-time though.

Good to see us win a low scoring game against a physical team. Buzz Williams is an absolute bitch during the game. Whining about Jaxson's celebrations over and over. Pleading with officials to make him be nicer. Give me a FN break. Would love to know what Jax said though.

If we can get Robinson and Brea both hitting in the same game, look out.

Wow, UKO sounds almost like a UK fan. WTF.

Yes, the Blur was a great one, but Dirk's supplanted it 4 or 5 years later.

James Lee had many more spectacular dunks, but if the category is "importance" and not entertainment value, then yes, his vs Duke in 1978 (I was there in the Checkerdome). But the category wasn't importance.

Lots of other good additions. IIRC, Antwain Barbour had a great one, I think vs. #1 Florida in 2003.

And don't "You're welcome" us, I didn't see anyone thank you for anything.

WCS murdered a Gator in Gainesville and a Bearcat in Yum.

Anyone know the reason walk on Zach Tow doesn't get to dress for games? Seems kinda weak, so I assume there is an official reason, just can't recall ever having that situation before.

As it stands, he would be the 15th guy so it wouldn't appear to be a numbers issue.

"Is it too much to ask for a competent team that plays with effort and has a semblance of cohesiveness?"

I don't know John, maybe run it back to April when all this went down and re-read all of the messages you received from the mass of UK fans who felt like a metric shit ton of pressure had just been released from their chest?
