*interesting week in the hood.
*Heard some news that made me laugh and posted a few bourbon inspired snarky comments on FB. Plenty of messages from people in the know laughing about the situation.
*I had to deal with a male Karen this morning when picking my daughter up for school.
I pull up, give a quick double-tap on the horn to get her attention. Almost immediately, some dude walking his dog comes up to my window. I roll it down and he says, "Did you really just honk a horn on a busy street at 7:30 in the morning."
"Sure did, picking up my daughter from school".
He goes on saying how rude it is and how he can't believe anyone would do that. He ended by saying, "I expect this to not happen again."
I told him to be back tomorrow at the same time and see how his expectations work for him, which really pissed him off.
By that time, my daughter was getting in the car so I drove off. No sense putting her in the middle of it.
Having said all that, had he approached me differently, I would have been more receptive to his complaint. I normally only pick kids up in the afternoon, so when I pulled up, it's basically muscle memory to honk.

-The JUCO ruling seems like a good overall step. Baseball would be a big winner. Sounds like most programs have shied away from HS kids anyway. Let them go JUCO without consequence.
-Christmas Instrumental Music Coffeehouse on Youtube has been on repeat at the desk.
-Another SEC retread at QB. I guess we'll see. I think we'll get a win in the SEC but that's about it. 4-5 wins. You gotta be a master team builder to replace that many transfers. I just don't see it with a crew that hasn't shown that ability in 4+ years.
-Night Before Last Night. Need to watch Office Christmas, The Christmas Story, and probably 8-Bit Christmas over the next week.
-Puke at the thought of "Camp Cal". Always came out flat AF after that BS. I could use a nice confidence booster beatdown Saturday. Let's just get our groove back right before the gauntlet.
-I know I should be rooting for OSU with all my heart and soul. But my little internal cheerleader is STRUGGLING with cheering for anything OSU.
-Poor Bama football. NIL is like sooooo hard!!
-Peak bourbon season. This the March Madness of Bourbon.
-Bern, the South End wop creeped out of me Saturday, as well. Crossing a parking lot after the game and a car came rolling through. Way too fast for a very busy lot. People were jumping out of the way. Got within about 5' of us. Women yelling. Jumped right up to his window and unleased a few loud audible displeasures. He didn't even turn his head.
-F*cking elf.

- Boca is better than Sotto, but Sotto may have better atmosphere. Both are legit.
- The benefits of our comeback dubs over Duke and Gonzaga mentally will pay dividends deep into March. Knowing a game is never irredeemable is superjuice for a team.
- Also think BBN is severely overrating Kelsey just because they gave a good effort Saturday. I mean they’re an NIT team. I don’t even think he’ll meet Mack’s success. He’s fine.
- I don’t believe there was anything better than college Christmas break. Perfect timing, circumstance and amount of time.
- Clever website “brackets” like Best Christmas Movie are stupid, primarily because the seeding is so subjective- which is exactly opposite of what makes a bracket fun.
- Always watch Die Hard over Christmas. Is there ANYTHING that detracts from an attractive woman more than an 80s hairstyle? You could put Sydney Sweeney in an 80s perm and she immediately loses 1-2 points.
- Most underrated SNL sketch of the past 25 years- Inside SoCal.
- So one of the methheads who started the fire that F’d the 471 bridge for 4 months also beat up a baby 14 years ago. The kid just died from the injuries as a teenager.
- Chipotle is garbage probably 70% of the time now. I’m out.
