“He is 35-62 in the SEC since arriving in Lexington. He inherited a real mess, but in his 12 seasons in Lexington he has only 2 years with winning records (5-3) in the SEC. As far a trends go, he is 17-34 in the conference the last 5 seasons.”

Taken from HOB, so I assume it’s correct, but the record against SEC is abysmal. 27 games under, which alone should be a fireable offense. If it weren’t for all of the cupcakes that have been added it would be embarrassing.

My issue with QBs sliding is that there have been a few (cough Mahomes) who have done that little fake slide thing and then keep going.

Secondly, when you slide you are completely giving yourself up to get killed if the defensive players doesn't stop (see Lawrence, and, as a better example, the Robert Geathers / Trent Green hit). Perhaps the rule should be the QB needs to drop / spike the ball when he gives himself up. That way he can still protect himself but signal that he is going down.

If the boys lose tomorrow night this place will be a dumpster fire.
Disagree. We aren't going to win every game, and should expect a few bumps in the road. Pope has about as much goodwill as he could possibly have at the moment. A road loss to a solid team is nothing to worry about at all.

It's honestly stunning that he's gotten us into the top 5 in year 1 with a 100% rebuild.

Also, this basketball team has a TON of runway/room to get better. Let that sink in for a minute. LOL
-I heard someone say we've probably only seen about 40% of our offense so far. I've seen a lot of passes not made on cuts that are wide open (more often than not they're back cuts).

Watch how Jaxson maneuvers through the offense and once everyone is reading things more like him and cutting more definitively, we're gonna have a ton more open looks.

-BG practicing and should be back tomorrow. Game is a pick em.

-Bama at UNC, Auburn at Duke, Marquette at Iowa State and Baylor at UCONN Wednesday.

No I meant as in all the bad news with the football team on top of our first basketball loss.
I was one of the guys who would be happy with an NIT this year if it meant getting rid of Cal, so Pope has already climbed to Everest base camp as far as I am concerned. I have no doubt we will reach the summit soon and Pope has been pretty much perfect since taking the job.

And yes we will take some losses this year, but I don't think tomorrow night is going to be one.

Anyone want free tix to NC St/Fl St this Sat? Me either, but a supplier sent to me so trying to pawn them off. I get tickets all the time to Hurricanes and Panthers, no interest.

I do take them up on the concert tix though.

- Amazing how the same group of 4-5 people blindly defend Cal and Stoops on HOB.

I'm just now getting around to the Marrow interview. He basically admitted they did no background check or due diligence on the portal guys they brought in? That checks out.
Another time I knew he was an idiot. The first practice with Levis he was shocked at how strong his arm was. He just couldn’t believe it. Keep talking about how surprised he was.

Mark, do you even watch the tape? We literally bring in QB1’s on nothing but a rec/hope.

On a side note, I’ve really enjoyed watching those Southeast16 guys on YouTube this season. They do a great job of covering the conference. After taking a wait and see approach to Pope and the Cats they are now swinging from his nut sack

You ever get Cane's tickets you don't need, holla at your boy. I'd gladly drive the 2 1/2 hours to see those dudes again.

I cannot recall a college basketball season with this much excitement during the first 4-6 weeks of the season. It seems like every night there is a top 10 matchup scheduled. I know Kentucky being good again is part of it, but overall it’s just been an embarrassment of riches nationwide since the champions classic. Feast week was unreal and this week looks to be more of the same.

Add Maclin to the growing list of players leaving. He was only the best WR on the team. Too bad only Gavin knew that, ALL of his TD's was thrown by Gavin and most of his catches. BV simply would not even look his way, much less throw to him.

I DID just do that
Thank you , Cap'n
I was starting to feel the darkness of our faltering football efforts

Some how I don't see Clemson winning this one out though

Really looking forward to the cat fight -
Also can't wait to lash that ass for OU & Tex

I do enjoy that coaches contracts are basically squatters rights at this point and the university is completely helpless and held hostage. It’s comically insane that someone would negotiate themselves into that situation.

Well said -' and that has to = lots of economic landmines

I believe 2025 features a court case attempting to reclassify student athletes as university employees -- another wrinkle that surely will have its complications as well as benefits

Speculating on high school talent & then tying up millions of dollars with your roster - buyouts for migrating coaches etc

SEEMS like a program could bankrupt itself after 3-4 seasons of poor talent evaluation & overspending w/no meaningful bowl revenue

Carr has played against them, they lost their best players last year, we have a coach that actually watches tape and will have them prepared, veteran team that can play a slowdown game, too many players that will wear them down……we win by double digits.

Have had the house pretty much to myself for the past week. Lass and Princess sick af, have them quarantined in about a third of the house.
Drop off what they need by the hallway door and have only heard from them when they need something. Might be one of the best pro moves I’ve let them talk me into. Emphasis, on it being their idea and they think it’s tough on me. 😂😂

I swear, I could have had hookers and blow all week and no one would even know. Does door dash deliver hookers and blow??

Damn, if it doesn’t put a skip in my step to see UK as the #4 team in the rankings, undefeated and it’s December 2nd. Feels good to be the 800 lb. Gorilla 🦍 in the room, as it should be!!
GO CATS!!

Mark Stoops has turned Kentucky football into a grotesque parody of itself, an unwatchable disaster that insults anyone who’s ever cared about the sport. The offense is a lifeless, incompetent train wreck—a cesspool of bad ideas executed with the precision of a drunk stumbling through a minefield. Every snap is a masterclass in failure, with play-calling so baffling it’s as if Stoops hired a random fan from the stands to run the show. The players, for all their potential, are shackled to a system so outdated and poorly executed it feels like an intentional act of sabotage. This isn’t football; it’s a public humiliation, week after week, orchestrated by a man who has no business leading a high school team, let alone an SEC program. Watching Stoops’ offense is less of a sport and more of an endurance test—how much incompetence can one fan base take before it finally snaps?

And discipline? There is none. This team plays with all the composure of a toddler’s tantrum, racking up penalties and stupid mistakes like it’s a points system in a clown contest. Stoops couldn’t instill discipline if his job—or his dignity—depended on it. His leadership is a hollow joke, his game plans archaic nonsense, and his adjustments nonexistent. Kentucky isn’t just bad under Stoops—it’s a disgraceful mockery of a football program, led by a man so far out of his depth he’s practically drowning. The fact that this charade continues is an insult to the fans, the players, and the state itself. Stoops has taken mediocrity, dressed it up in delusion, and called it progress. Enough is enough—send him packing before he sinks this program any further into the abyss.
