I don't think BVG could beat out some of the QBs on fraternity intramural teams right now. If nobody wants him is it quitting?

Man I love scuttlebutt but get the feeling I'm going to be hella disappointed when we lose White and Marrow and get Stoops back with Wolford, Boulware, Hamdan and Buffano staying.
It's really simple for me now, like most UK fans I would imagine. I'm done giving a shit about Kentucky football until a new head coach comes in. Same as it was with Calipari. The writing is on the wall, and it's smeared in fentanyl-laced feces.
I brought it up because I don't believe it is overly political. I look at it more like a father/son situation. Short of orchestrating 9/11, I'm pardoning my son for basically anything.
In the last ~7-8 years in Lexington Stoops has experienced:
- a scandal involving a co-ed that turned out to be false(???) accusations just to get rid of him.
- a divorce
- The greatest run UK football has ever gone on in recent/modern times.
- NCAA probation that resulted in ^^those^^ accomplishments being tainted.
- rumors of him being an out of control drunk
- A public "Schiano-ing" by A&M
- the loss of his mother
- other stuff
The dude probably hates the majority of the fan base and is going through some sort of depression. I sorta feel for the dude.
But that man is going to get every cent from this University that he can. In other words, if he can hold this place hostage, he will.

Other than him losing his mom, probably a lot that he played his role in. The false accusations are horsepoop but also chalk that up to you're worth millions, you're inevitably spending some of that money fighting off some bs.
He's already stated in here he just gets his info from Twitter & other premium boards. Appreciate the easy aggregation he provides in here, but was disappointed to hear him say he leans on Joe Adams and that whole clown show.

Adding another controversial, yet correct, take:

The player that hit him has punched an uninvolved player on the sidelines, had multiple late tackle penalties that caused dust ups and has been fined for conduct all within the past month apparently.
The forearm to the head (regardless of how late the slide was) is the issue I take.

-Joe is a booster and gets some good basketball recruiting info from what I've seen IMO.
-Bleed Blue network hosted some good Twitter spaces during the Pope/portal season and still do some post-game spaces that are decent.
-Not sure about their football content haven't checked that out. They obviously aren't my sole source or something I check out every day but from time to time they're useful regarding basketball at least.
-A lot of the football info I've seen is through a friend of Dennis who posts stuff he hears from Vince. That guy just said for us to not get our hopes up about Stoops leaving. Reached out to multiple schools to gauge interest but didn't get interest he was comfortable with. He hasn't gotten the feedback he's looking for. Stuck with him apparently.
I went through the same situation with my freshman year girlfriend. Reached out to other sororities but didn't get interest I was comfortable with. Didn't get the feedback I was looking for either. Stuck with my girlfriend for second semester.

Anybody else notice that after the first game or two, Maclin almost never got a target from BVG, but seemed to be the favorite receiver of Wimsatt and Boley? I haven't confirmed with stats or anything because I pretty much checked out on football after Vandy.

A grizzled veteran who has proven he can take a bad program and turn them respectable in a tough conference is exactly what Purdue ought to be looking for. If they land some whiz-kid coordinator, he will be gone ASAP either way.

Barring a miraculous turnaround, Kentucky is going to LOSE more per every year they hang on to Stoops than the prorated buyout will cost.
His buyout is NOT a valid reason to keep him.

Not for nothing, but Purdue has an endowment twice the size of UK's. They also have Big10 money. I have a lot of Big10 alums in my family; they're wretched souls, bud dammit, they want to be good at football. Mark Stoops is a hard pass for them.

I'm just now getting around to the Marrow interview. He basically admitted they did no background check or due diligence on the portal guys they brought in? That checks out.

The concession stands gave fewer shits than the players. Despite it being colder than a witch's hairy nipple, they were serving hot chocolate in souvenir cups. Like "Thanks for showing up in the bitter cold to watch a team that has quit, here's your bucket of scalding liquid with no lid! It will probably be super easy to carry in your mittens and not drop on a kid's head!"
To Mincey's credit, Commonwealth hot dogs are delicious and I would want to make sure I grabbed one during my last game, too.
