GYERO

-Certainly feels like the tea leaves are swinging to him being back. That's fine. No chance Mitch is firing him, which I kind of get, but after last year my f*cks over Stoops' feelings are pretty low. Either f*cking be here and act like it, or move the f*ck on. Tired of the "You Up?" texts.

-Boley looked great, IMO. Couple bad penalties, and one bad decision kept him from paying it off, but coming and immediately stringing completions certainly feels great for the future.

-BVG 1st Half, 3/7 for 51 yards. Lol.

-Dump BVG, Walker and Brown salaries and pour that into the lines.

-I'm good avoiding the guys that can't make the field for the powerhouses.

-Austin is a great city and the setup around Texas games is fantastic. The stadium is beautiful. It's updated, efficient, setup is great. Audio sucks, maybe worse than UK. LED show is cool. HOWEVER, it's a bottom half, maybe bottom 1/4 in game crowd. It was actually hard to comprehend how quiet it was in the 3rd and 4th Qtr when we were making things interesting. If we were at LSU, Bama, Aub, UGa, UT, UF, USC... hell even UK, MSU, Ole Miss our ears would've been bleeding. It was what I would imagine the Dean Dome is like. There was just no vibe or craziness the whole game.

-Tons of comments from Texas fans on how well BBN traveled. We flat took over the city all weekend. Was pretty cool.

-Next generation of GYERO owned the weekend. Up late, singing mock karaoke, in the private room of a Steakhouse. Lol. Fun to see.

-Didn't see much of the BB game but every time I looked up it appeared we were dunking the ball. Always a good thing.

-Wet or Dry brine for your Thanksgiving Bird?

Wet. Only because I never tried dry brine… good for crispy skin I reckon. Got free turkey from supermarket… they give them to repeat customers who now spend $400+ in the express checkout. Thanks Biden.

Made 4 bolo lasagnas last night for party. Then, for dinner made pistachio crusted rack of lamb with balsamic glaze. Oui Chef!

My office shorted me 40 hrs of PTO the last 3 years… of course they changed the cash out unused annual hours policy to boot. Use it or lose it (they say). What has two thumbs and basically won’t be working in December? This MFer.

They clearly don't respect you after the "too scared to fire anyone" fiasco from early in the year.

Dry brine my “bird” this year. Switched up from the traditional deep frying an injected turkey to smoking a bunch of breasts on my grill. I’ve done it twice already as a trial and it’s delicious. Somehow covering them in salt and letting them sit in the fridge and then on indirect heat for hours doesn’t dry them out but in fact makes them as juicy as a fried bird. I’ve read the so called “science” that explains why but I think it’s just magic.

TV announcers made it clear they wanted FR vs FR when we put Boley in. Heard it more than once “how long will they ride Ewers with that hurt shoulder and Manning over there on the sidelines”.

- I’ve worked from home for 3 months and in those 3 months I hit my first year projection with 5 months still to go as I’m May to May.

Nice little accomplishment as I push for salary and to never step foot in that office again.

- A spot opened up for my 5YO in preschool. Watching him be bored AF at home the past few months has crushed me but I am more than excited for that dude to go make friends and grow.

- It was mentioned that worst case scenario is to beat UL and the admins get a little confidence to keep Stoops/Hamden. Well I prefer to whip the Cardinals ass and let the dust settle where it may.

F Louisville.

Besides when Hamden had a competent QB that actually moved past the first read our offense didn’t look as bad.

- Hoping my offer on 5 acres is accepted. I found it privately and knocked on the door of the owner. Offered more than fair value as to what land is going for here so my fingers are crossed.

- I’ve been roller skating 3-4 times over the past month with my 13YO. Odd how many parents are out there still doing it. I’ve got my groove back on everything except backwards skating.

- Wet Brine. I linked Treagers which produces the best turkey I’ve had, ever.

- I have a garage with at least 8 bikes in it that range from mountain bike, speed bike to kid mongoose type bikes for jumps and cool shit.

For Xmas I have 2 request for electric bikes.

Hard no!

But mommy said probably and she’d work on you for them.

GD it!

BVG showed his moxie on the first play when he folded like the "Blow the Whistle" guy from Necessary Roughness.

Of course hes going to xfer somewhere and kill it next yr.

So he’s not just going to just voluntarily surrender tens of millions of dollars?

Gonna need the wcc Common Sense Smell Test on this one. Sounds fishy.
COUNTERPOINT: I'd take a serious haircut to get paid to *NOT* work. It isn't stupid to think that Stoops would give UK some discount to, you know, get paid without having to show up.

* The Jackson State game is well worth watching if you missed it. Just pure fun the whole game.

* Did I miss where Wimsatt suddenly left the team or something? Why is this a BVG v. Boley debate? BVG is clearly better than Wimsatt (maybe even as a rusher) but he's not *THAT* much better. I don't know the money involved, but it wouldn't be unreasonable to think that whatever we are paying BVG may be better spent on an O-line and just roll with Wimsatt and Boley next year.

I mean no ill will towards BVG. He plays tough, isn't a distraction and wants to win, but he just isn't cut out to start in the SEC. He completely lacks the ability to read defenses pre-snap (which is likely caused by our slow ass pace only giving him 5 seconds to look around), throws almost exclusively to Key and misses almost all of the short to intermediate passes with 0 touch.

I hope he does well elsewhere and I hope the money we spent on him goes to two 3 year starters at Tackle.

He will. At Stephen F. Austin or some place like that.

Hopefully, he takes Piglet with him.

Yeah, not sure why PTI keeps acting like it’s $40 million vs $30 million for doing the same thing. Of course no one would do that.

But yes, getting 7-figure checks to sit at Tony’s all day or whatever he wants to do vs. getting a slightly higher check to be miserable at a place everyone hates you and you don’t even want to be at is a much more appetizing deal

Being out $30M to pay piglet is one small piece to consider… but, including next year, that’d be 3 lost seasons in a row.

Where did the EXTRA $20M/yr per the new ABC contract money go? (ABC must be 🙄 after the SEC shit the bed BTW). We don’t have many capitol improvement projects in the pipeline, do we?

Move on from Stoops because shit ain’t working and neither is he. We are easily the worst team in the SEC currently and it ain’t close. …

Eff it. Bring Gruden in.🕷️✌🏻🤦🏻‍♂️🍌

-After Battle of The Rocky Top Football National Championship this weekend, the youth football season has ended. Woodford County, for having a small population had two really solid teams this year, the 5/6th grade team winning the Conference 127 Championship and 3rd/4th Grade going 13-1 in Conference play, losing in the Championship 0-8 to Clark County.

Really proud of the Huber boys and how well they played this season. It's nice to have them invested in a different sport than baseball which has ruled our lives the past 6+ years. Many Proud Dad moments this season.

-Our bank invited us to their suite for the UK UofL game this weekend. Decided to stick with my normal season tickets with the poors for superstition reasons. And because I can drink there, which will probably be needed.

- Let the Cutter Era Begin. Its time. Its obvious. And I'm frankly surprised Stoops made the call as I was worried he would continue to stick with Brock.

-Another bank that is trying to earn our business has been inviting us to stuff constantly. Finally taking in the Mark Pope Era on Friday with the fam a few rows off the floor thanks to them. Going to feel awesome sitting on the court like a Schembari. Kids are Excited.

-Being in Knoxville on a home game day is brutal for a UK fan. All that orange and inbred, tooth decay rednecks all wearing the same "T" garb is my personal hell.

-Truly envious of everyone that got to make the Texas trip. Looked incredible!

-Barion Brown. Was expecting so much from him and he's continued to not live up to the hype. While I hope he stays another year, hes likely gone. I hope they will move that NIL around to find a consistent guy that can simply catch the ball. If he's contested, he ain't making the catch.

-LOL IU. FK You Hoosiers. Maybe the only time in my life I openly rooted for Ohio State.

I need a Jayroon scuttlebutt update.
Regarding Wilson: Just some UNC rumors floating since he hasn't committed to us yet. Everything I'm seeing indicates nothing's changed though and he's still a CAT barring something unexpected happening last minute.

He got a new car too which led to some random speculation about where it came from; but it shouldn't surprise anyone since HS kids can get endorsement deals these days.

Mississippi State says hold up on that nonsense.

* Pass me the green, I need some weed with my Hennessy.

* My office/co-working space is closed Thursday....

....for a "National Day of Mourning." K.

* 2 things I think Kentucky fans need to lower their expecations about:

1> Stoops somehow gifting the school an easy exit. It's possible he leaves to take another job, but all this talk about a highly discounted buyout, or an early retirement or whatever just isn't happening.
2> Jon Sumrall. I mean, the guy isn't exactly a secret anymore. If he has 1 more good year at Tulane, he'll be a candidate for any job he wants.

* We all know SAE will meet his maker after a fall down a flight of steps, but mine may come at the hands of a shower slip and fall. I can't believe I haven't had a legit injury yet. Anyone else, or just me?

* Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice.

* BVG's stats with 1 game to go:

125-218 (57.3%) for 1593 yards
10 TDs / 8 INTs
90 rush for 131 yards

🤣 🤣 🤣

I won't miss this guy one bit.

* This Aaron Bradshaw situation has been kept pretty quiet, so it's hard to tell exactly what he's in trouble for. If I'm reading the internet correctly, he beat up two women, and placed a large illegal wager on himself to take them both down in the 4th round.

* Top 5 ways to sabotage the Stoops Era and save ourselves $42 million:

1> accuse him of being anti-semitic
2> tell people he's Hitler (LITERALLY!!!)
3> plant a salacious sexual scandal story with the Kernel
4> find someone with old poultry wealth who's eager to make a splash at his alma mater
5> line up 2 fights with Jake Paul

* I'm not sure I could wack it using only my left hand. Nor do I think I've ever tried.

* Hope everyone has registered for their local Turkey Trot. Get your miles in before you spend the day eating and drinking.

* Need some stories from Austin this weekend. Slay any poos, Bonz?

Hoity outdoor brand that Rudd would worship.
"These Cutter Boley chinos are lightweight, wrinkle free, and I can go straight from the office to the golf course. Plus they are made right here in Bar Harbor, Maine!"

^The first GYERO discussion on Cutter Bolley was about how his name sounded like a mens clothing brand. He's come a long way.

What the actual shit are you doing in there?

I think the OTB call was not great, but Hurley popped off after every little call so much that he deserved that tech.

Cost his team the game too.

Hurly turned what was going to be a 2 point lead for Memphis with 40 seconds left into a 4 point lead with that tech. Nice job.
