Home late, winding down. Great f'ing football game to watch. Didn't seize the moment when we had chances. Proud of the effort tonight. Wasn't there last week at all. Disappointed in not going for it on 4th down. That decision will haunt Stoops wherever he goes no matter what happens.

Stunned at how much our passing game and receivers suck. The regression of Brown and Key remind me of Dorian Baker. Vandergriff played better tonight, but he's still a struggle bus of poor field vision, pocket presence and ball security.

Got to win at spiraling Florida and your home game vs Auburn. Take care of Vandy and Ohio like you're supposed to, and you're at 6 wins. Louisville can still be our bitch.

Sleep.

Most on here won't care, but a few will. Ice Cube brought it. Great sound system, energy, graphics/lights etc. and he hasn't lost a step. He went a solid 90 minutes, solo show and just killed it (providing you like Ice Cube) Well worth the money and time. Loved it.

Opened with Natural Born Killaz (and slayed it)

Also, that outdoor venue at Hard Rock Casino Cincinnatti is a really great place to watch a concert.

Watched a bit of Van Hiles this morning. Our QB clearly struggles to see the field. Maybe things will slow down for him, but how long will that take?

Both our lines last night were awesome, especially the Dline in the first half.

Does Barion Brown ever get open or does BVG just never see him? Or maybe he just doesn’t see much of anything downfield.

Kinda sucks we don’t play Miss St now because they f’ing blow. They were thumped by Toledo at home.

Was never a big fan of those grey unis but they actually looked pretty sharp under the lights on the telly last night.

Don’t need Van Hiles to tell me Van der Beek has trouble going through his progressions. He had a lot of time on plays and you can’t tell me we didn’t have other guys open had he not focused for 5 seconds on primary.

It’s ironic we recruit 5 tight ends a year and never use them.

Crowd impressive in spite of last weeks beat down.

From a game day experience, cell reception was great. Love the Sabotage intro. The Freebird montage was awesome, light show, fireworks, strippers. It was all great.

I'm not feeling morally victorious or anything but after the USCjr drubbing, I feared this team may get blown out by Georgia, the fans check out, and the players just start playing for NIL next year.

The team showed heart and we were not bullied off the field by what is essentially an NFL squad team. There are things to build on. I'm shocked they turned the o-line around that fast. Clearly we are still not good but did anyone really think we would do a better job pass blocking Georgia than USC?

I told you they were going to make a good showing of it. You negative nellies on here make me f***ing sick. You gotta stay positive in life. dig?

Man, I'm not criticizing any players after that effort. Question the punt, the two passing plays before the punt, the FG with time left in the 2Q, sure. Blame the refs, fine. The Wildcats balled out on the field, though. 4 scoring drives on offense, forced UGA punt after punt on defense.

OL was night and day, compared to last week. BVG was a little more comfortable, a step in the right direction. Kattus coming back was big. DSK is one hell of a blocker. Defense was who we thought they were coming into the season, maybe better. Brad White dialed up pressure all night and had the Heisman front runner flustered and running for his life. I wouldn't say Hamdan was in his bag ( 🤮 - i'd never say that), but he seemed competent. Looked like he was in way over his head last week.

A couple have noted how amazing Commonwealth is looking this season on TV. It really pops. IDK if it's the ABC cameras or what, but it really is gorgeous.

We're 1-2 but hope is restored. 7-8 wins are still on the table. I was worried we were looking at a 3 win season.

If you criticized that effort last night after bitching all week about football expectations being too high, recalibrate.

I’m mostly pissed that we only lost by 1. Well, not even trying to score a TD at the end of the 1st half ranks up there pretty high.

I swear Stoops, even after all of these years, just can’t get it right when deciding about what to do when it comes to 4th down. He either goes when we shouldn’t or punts when we should. It’s mind bottling.

If we had gone for it on 4th and failed for the same end result, would we be on here saying we should have punted? I say no…no we would not. Fans aren’t unreasonable with our frustrations with Stoops, we just want to take the shot when those rare opportunities present themselves.

- Jager Burton should not play again unless an injury occurs. The OL was killing UGA last night.

- BVG should be rolled out and even if not by design then by crossing outs and him naturally moving with WRs. His ball on the run is pretty accurate.

- The lack of Brown’s route running ability as to attribute to the lack of him being open. No wonder they tried so many jet sweeps.

- The defense is legit and why we’ll be in most games. Nothing wrong with that, but someone needs to explain to me how a ball can be a catch even if it touches the ground, but if said player then loses the ball it can’t be intercepted.

Maybe we need to reconsider that rule because that was an INT for a TD and that was a game changer.

- In the end we played respectable and I can’t help but think Kirby likes having UK be good and a landing spot for his cast offs. Enemy of his enemies ATKOT.

- I don’t think anything could have happened different at any point that would have changed the outcome. Early 10 point lead off the INT then Beck and that offense wakes up. No fumble by BVG and something else plays out to overcome, and 4th down punt or go it just didn’t matter. They were better and would have done what needed to be done in the moment to overcome us.

- You’re playing the #1 team in the country as a 3 TD dog. It’s the end of the first half and you have the ball in a tie game. It’s 3rd and 1 from their 22, there are 15 seconds left, and you have 1 TO. Your kicker has been lights out and has already made a 55 yarder tonight. Do you:

A. Take a shot here knowing your kicker can pretty reliably make a 39 yarder, and you’re content with 3 points and the lead going into halftime?

B. Run the ball one more time just to center it up and hopefully get a bit closer for your kicker, then run the clock down to 1 second and call timeout so they don’t get the ball back?

C. A secret third thing that combines the worst aspects of both of the above approaches with none of the upside?

- Should’ve been 4 down territory as soon as we got to midfield. That was a 3.5 minute drive. We were taking our time.

- Let’s say, conservatively, the chance of converting 4th and 8 there is 15%. Would you not take a 15% chance to beat Georgia?

- That said, if their last punt bounces anywhere except directly at our end zone, we were already in field goal range. That’s football though.

- We just don’t get opportunities like that very much. I’m not sure that game changes much about our outlook. Georgia was sleep walking, especially on offense. Don’t think we’re going to have teams overlooking us much going forward.

Much like our former basketball coaches insistence on tightening his ass in the last 10 minutes of every game, Stoops shrinks the sphincter every time a pivotal coaching decision needs to be made and is about 1/100 in getting it right.

Just get an analytics cat that gives you the probability and make a decision on the stats. Take the thinking out of it, IMO.

Beginning to despise Stoops about as much as I hated Cal in the end. The parallels are uncanny. Obviously, there were higher expectations for Cal. But Stoops has been given every f*cking thing he has asked for, a fat undeserving contract, fans rallying NIL to support him, and we can’t even get the basics right in year 12.

Maybe STFU and keep your ass out of Jeff Ruby’s until you figure out how to get this team to complete a single f*cking downfield pass. Literally 125 FBS teams have figured it out. It’s not inventing fire.

It's not entirely shocking. People would rather live on the internet and pretend they're making a difference by bitching about the side they've chosen to hate rather than actually live in the real world and spend time with friends and family. We're living in a world where instead of discussing important issues in a calm manner, a Facebook post about Haitian "invaders" kidnapping and killing pets for consumption has lead to daily bomb threats for a small town. Now idiots on the fringe are stirred up over a Haitian community in a town no one knew existed a week ago. Couple believing everything online with far too many nuts having easy access to weapons and welp, it's not entirely shocking.

Or we can be lazy dolts and just blame the side we dislike instead of admitting society has it's nuts and politics stirs them up like no other topic.

Punt or go for it, deep down we all know the end result would have been the same. Disappointment, frustration, anger, hopelessness.
I thought they were going to win, even with the punt. Really did. Felt like that kind of night the further the game moved along. I know the optics are bad, but punting it and letting your defense that has dominated all night long make one more stop felt like a higher percentage chance IMHO than that OL protecting, the QB reading, the QB throwing a good ball, and the WR catching the ball on a 4th and 8 against maybe the best pass defense in the country. For this UK team to convert that in their current state of development, it would have been a biggest fluke of the CFB season.

Beck made the one play he needed to make all night. It was a dot. If that play doesn’t happen, I think the Cats do the unthinkable.

At any rate, top five crowd I’ve experienced at CWS/Kroger. Crazy fun night.
