And just as Democrats are foolish for their desires for their candidates to have “pure” positions,

Middle aged white dudes telling other people not to be offended may feel good, but ain’t gonna make them less offended. I have no idea if it will make a difference or not. But in a close election, where the biggest knock against Trump is his behavior/judgment, it was a stupid decision

So democrats are foolish for wanting Kamala to have pure positions? She's only running for POTUS. Well, I guess this fits the narrative, because she doesn't have one on any topic boy genius.

Your second paragraph didn't age well in a matter of hours....Trump didn't say anything, and then Biden comes off with the garbage zinger.

Probably best that you left the political game.

Oweh and Butler are going to win a few games when our 3’s aren’t falling. They are both bulls when going to the rim, and I’ll be subtly laughing as if I was Agaememnon in the movie Troy.

UT NIL collective is insane. They have been wanting athletes to come sign at the new store. It is unreal the cohesive drive those guys have. It’s like an army.

We literally are lost, at UK, compared to places like UT. They have an army out there banging down the doors of business owners/boosters.

We have Eddie Gran trying his best. It’s wild as hell the difference.

Eddie Gran

One thing I will say about Eddie Gran is he tries. He also gets some things done for UK football players. He is a lot more valuable than folks realize.

With that said, it’s him vs. an Army. It would be pretty simple to sit down with some die hard UK fans and get them mobilized. For some reason our AD/atheltic dept./staff don’t have it in them.

I have always been told it’s because Mitch fears donors will stop donating to UK and pouring money into NIL. Not sure if that is true but it sounds about right.

Our gritty ass defense is something I guess I didn’t expect. Not till I saw it. We obviously have long guys out there, but the constant effort, and not giving up on plays….That’s why we’ll win games. Shots falling or not, we are going to try to win. That’s all you can ask for.

Y’all gonna finally ban Matt Jones and catsfag, or will you just let OG Clown back, ffs man…

If it’s as simple as NIL organization and other schools such as Ole Miss and UT have it figured out I’d wonder how much of that is up to Lane Kiffin and Josh Heupel.

My guess is not much other than an itinerary of to do’s and show up here type schedules.

NIL is not an old school’s game at all and that’s as clear as the difference in approach we have now with Pope instead of Cal, and seeing how Cal’s strategy in Arkansas is going as well.

Sparse crowd at Rupp last night. I guess a plague of locusts made it tough to get to the game.

Butler and Oweh impressed me with their energy and defense last night. Butler might be my favorite player on this team.

Kriisa with a couple of very nifty passes last night. He and Carr seems to be in lockstep when playing together.

Quick AF game. Home by 9 on a 7pm tip? Cool.

AJ and Big Justice are just run of the mill johnny come lately influencers but the Rizzler... That kid is going places... No Rizzler slander here

Pristine grounds. That's a man that cares about his property.

- So we still have a bunch of haters out there. The "Field of 68" dudes posted the Garrison dunk with the caption "attention SEC, do NOT jump with Brandon Garrison" or something to that effect. I decided to check the replies. There were about 12 hatin' ass hater comments for every 1 from BBN. And it's mostly Arkansas fans.

- Just asked my little Advisory class of freshmen about "The Rizzler," UCL. I just got a 15 minute lecture on it from 5-6 different students and you're right. It's over.

- Listened to LeBatard for 15 minutes this morning during my planning sesh. First time I've gotten to listen to him in a few months. That was a mistake. Apparently anarchy, the death of democracy, and the impeding apocalypse are coming in 7 days. I knew it would be pretty bad with him this close to the election, but this was more than I expected.

It's impossible to just listen/watch and enjoy the arts and entertainment anymore. They just don't let you separate the artist from their ideology. You're either part of the echo chamber or it's insufferable. That goes for almost all of them.

Lebatard is a perfect example of needing a leash. He was great when he was in a system and (pretending, mostly) to buck it.

Now that he’s independent all of his worst ideas go through with no one stoping it

More importantly, how would you defend Flagg with UK's personnel?

Oweh, Carr - even some Butler. Keep throwing different looks.

I know Pope will actually strategize, as opposed to all M2M switching everything.
I figure Carr will start on him so we don't have any bad defensive matchups to start (like Carr or Williams on one of their wings).

Oweh would matchup well but could be a little outmanned in the post (and it will probably have to be minutes we're playing small).

I like mixing it up no doubt; someone suggested Butler for stretches and the more I thought about that I'd be good with that for short stretches at least. He could deny him the ball, guard him 94 feet and he could front him in the post or we could double (but all their guards and wings are good to great spot up shooters). He seems to want to drive more than anything up to this point.

It's going to be fascinating how we match up with them.

Who all is going down there?

Tennessee are the generational masters of organized and creative cheating… so not shocked by their ‘being out front’ when the rules were removed.

- I have no idea. I am college basketball ignorant right now. I'm going to wait until about January before I begin to assess us as a team or the rest of the CBB landscape, for that matter. I'm doing this for myself so I don't put any unfair expectations on coaches and players.

I've grown very cynical as it pertains to UK sports over the last 3-4 years. I'm watching us fall and our enemies rise (Tennessee's athletic program is crushing it right now and I didn't enjoy reading that NIL comparison at all). I don't want my cynicism to take away from the enjoyment of the sport/experience.

So I figure just going in blind and enjoying the ride is the best thing for me to do.

It's that and scared to push the rules.

Definitely not going to miss Cal's go-to move on a guy who is lighting it up - frantically send a second defender and allow a wide open dunk at a 90% clip.
My little brother and I have been texting each other nonstop since Pope was hired. He was an early Pope-honk and convinced me the hire was great. He's been right on everything so far. (Feel free to make your own @MobileCatFan joke here).

He keeps reminding me to forget everything about Cal and just approach it fresh. For instance, he encouraged me to listen to Pope's postgame show. Between Cal and Stoops, I haven't even considered listening to a non-KSR pre- or post- game show in approximately half a decade. So yeah, it is going to take some time for this Billy Joe Wildcat to start expecting our coach to say and do the right thing again.

I feel like with Pope here, Banrhart's wet blanket effect on basketball will be negligible.

I agree on Pope’s postgame.

Last night I listened to Maggard’s Twitter space. Hopefully they keep doing them. Your all’s boy Tommy helps him with them.

He’s a bit pompous but knows ball as a former scout.

I think Flagg is going to be driving hard from the perimeter/cutting/hitting the glass. Not worried about Oweh’s size much.

dawncalipari getting mentioned by Mags today.

One of the weirdest Sports Twitter accounts out there. If the person that runs that account is a man older than like 22 they should be put on some type of list.
