GYERO

Do some of you people sit back and realize how stupid you sound?

“Yeah, he’s got plenty of money. That extra FORTY FIVE MILLION DOLLARS is nothing”

lol
That’s less than Cal, Bob and Tubby left on the table when they left similar situations. It’s not always based solely on finances. Saban and Tony Bennett are other good examples of this.

He’ll make some of it up elsewhere if he decides to take a job this year or in the next few years. He’s got plenty of money to take time off if he wants/needs it.

As miserable as we are with him, he feels this same.

And this may be a stretch- but if has any bitterness toward Chantel, he could get his alimony restructured.

I'm resigning myself to the fact that Stoops will likely retire after the UL game and that Brad White will quickly be named the new HC.

I like BW, but he does nothing to excite a pissed off fanbase. Our AD would have no clue what the fans think either. Maybe that top button is cutting off circulation to his brain.
I don't think Brad wants to be a HC, tbh. My gut says he's a guy who realizes his strengths and may stay a coordinator. He'd be making a similar mistake to Joker if he moved up IMHO.

This post needs a hardcore fact check, because I’m 99.99% certain you’re wrong.

Quick G search: Cal left UK at $8-9 mill/year for $7 mill/year at Arkansas. Tubby never made more than $2 million.

So anyways. You’re wrong.

Tubby true but Cal cost himself 31 million by forfeiting his buyout. (And the 1 million per year for life if he retired here and did the ambassador role).

Cal’s Arkansas contract is through 29 and can be extended to 31 with a couple of NCAA tournament appearances but here it was a lifetime deal.

Saban left 77 million; Bennett 15; Bob Stoops 27. There are plenty of other examples too (Phil Jackson 20, K had
a lifetime contract for 9 million a year).

I mean it's pretty clear we don't want him here, and that's not going to change. I think you would have to be some sort of sick individual to want to stay around long in that situation. They can work out an agreement where he gets part of his buyout or whatever and we can leave it on good terms.

* Great seeing the Ribsandwhitebread's, GeeseFeeders', MCF and Kooky. The New Yorker's gnocchi bolognese was the center-piece of another over-the-top Extrav. Props as always to the Schem's for opening their pad to a bunch of us hooligans.
Grazie. Great hangin’ with you all too.

Wish I didn’t sell my old Ascaso thermoblock espresso machine…. I would’ve given it to you @Bonzo Cat . Decent shots. A lot less work and than the lever. I can advise on some eBay steals.

Sunday took my son out to Roebling’s Highbridge (Harrodsburg) and strolled Asbury’s campus. Beautiful.

That Costco in Hamburg is legit. Don’t tell my wife I said that… our version is in a completely Hassidic town in NY and it’s gross. I bought my son enough food for the rest of the semester and a pillow.

Third time was the charm at Ruby’s:
  • Dozen oysters
  • 4 shrimp
  • Wedge
  • Ribeye
  • Pomme Anna
  • Espresso

That drive home was awful. My ankle is a balloon, and have to be in City at 7:00am for layoffs. Yippee.

VerizonFios suck. All our TVs don’t have sound. Yanks and Giants and here reading lips.

I'd settle for an updated Depth Chart. They've posted the same one every week since September, pretty cool subtle IDGAF move.

You or anyone asked about this JDrum? I notice you keep posting it weekly without comment, but it's kinda ridiculous imo. Patterson been #2 on the DC for what, 6 weeks, while out until emergency? Hairston been #1 for like 4. K

-Like usual, PTI(pti) lacks any sort of nuance or consideration to financial things that actually happen in real life/sports. Pretty sure nobody thinks Mark just bails on the full 45M or whatever, jfc.

- Think we can all agree Stoops won't be here much longer. Is that in a month or next season? He told us 3 years ago that he had 5 years tops left. Similar to Bob. Then pair that with trying to leave for TAMU and those comments this summer. Don't know that he's checked out but the fire isn't there. Constantly re-recruiting your own players is gonna wear these old school guys out.

Sticking with my tea leaves prediction prior to the season. I think we have a new coach next season. If he's concerned about money, he can get another job, just like the aforementioned group. Otherwise, he can do media shit.

Mitch should've moved on last year when Stoops left for for TAMU, like he did when Cal tried to crawdad.

- Great tailgate and the kiddos were well behaved. Adults... lol, no one was out of line but up way too late. Gnocchi was killer. Espresso Martinis have the crew feenin' like crack heads. Probably the last tailgate. Kid sports and life would make the last two games a pain.

-ginkgo berries. F*ck me.

-Bombers need to get it together, quickly. Oh well, like seeing Walker crush. Dude is dealing.

-Joke was flat and poorly timed but Tony is the man.

-Rolled up to the park to meet some folks and let the kiddos take infield/fly balls. Gorgeous night.

Shorts:

- No clue who that comedian is, but he is a comedian. Wish we could get back to when people didn’t take comedy seriously. It’s a f’ing joke.

- I’ll put Matchbox 20 “Back 2 Good” in my 90s pantheon.

- When it comes to athetic departments/aligned boosters, who are the biggest scum bags in the SEC? Tennessee has to be up there. Auburn may be at the top. LSU. I mean it’s a loaded question.

- Looking forward to the Return of the Role Player with Pope’s boys. Could Almonor be a surprise BBN favorite?

- Chandler knows how to play the game. You can tell that watching the kid run for two minutes.

- All Kentucky boys are the same in my heart but do enjoy seeing EKY getting puuuumped about one of their own in the blue and white. That Noah stroke is pretttay.

- The biggest challenge of parenting young children isn’t the lack of sleep or the diapers and accidents or no social life. It’s the constant distractions. A normal week without someone sick or some childcare disruption is seemingly rare. It’s always something. I’m sure other problems will come but looking forward to the baby being in school next year.

As a work from home dad that has had both kids at home (at different times) for two of the last four weeks due to acute pneumonia, I can attest to Chad's take.

When my routine is disrupted to this level on top of trying to provide actual child care, my mental state gets dark quick.

God bless loving and patient wives.

Who’s the Yankee jackass who pimped a 9th inning HR in a loss [roll] [roll]

Stare at it, watch it barely clear the wall, flip the bat, get on the plane back to get fn swept like a loser.

I’ve never seen that.

Dodgers have always been my “good” team because the Blue and White classic uniforms. Sure beats the loser ass Red and Whites.

LSU fans are what you think they are. They obviously want to win and have all of the resources but they’re almost like the fun uncle who hit it big earlier in his career and now cares mostly about taking all of his nieces and nephews out to party and have a good time. Wild fanbase. Best partiers in the SEC by far.

Malzahn must be a total a-hole to work with. His record at UCF isn't that bad and his first two seasons were fairly successful. Hard to believe this is already year **checks notes** FOUR???

Well, nevermind. That's about the proper shelf-life for that dude.

* The best money I spend on a regular basis has to be the self service car wash. It’s like 5 bucks, and u get to play with all those little nozzles and toys and such. Great deal.

* Why are Starburst jelly beans so much better?

* Starting the campaign now. Mark Stoops is a Nazi, he’s a fascist, and he’s LITERALLY HITLER.

* Giancarlo “don’t call me Mike” Stanton rounding 3rd and scoring there was about as likely as a Yankee-Dodgers World Series.

Just NOT going to happen.

* Back to back baby shower weekends coming up. I’m for it. Split up the sexes. Men watch sports. Gals sit around sipping champs and cackling. Lots of day drinking. Grilling out.

* lol

* Estimated economic impact of 3-day T-Swizzle weekend: $500 million. Ha.

Imagine if she was hot. Easily would have hit a bill.

* Haven’t seen that sort of a pitching performance from a Lexingtonian since Curtis Whitney in ‘92.

* Yankees brought piss to a s*** fight, imho.

* Late/out/etc.

Some shitdohs:

- Weather has been amazing lately. Windows open, fall breeze through the house and the smell of 4 pets disappearing for a bit.

- Bucket list I didn't know about: NFL game at a field level suite. Manufacturer appreciation in Indy sitting there with my buddies like zombies from all night drinking watching AR make his only completions during a pregame routine 10 yards in front of us. Catch a glimpse of Peyton and the other Colt greats because it's Dallas Clark day. Lucas Oil is also a badass yet not gargantuan beauty.

- Didn't make it to St Elmo's but did have the shrimp cocktail at Harry and Izzy's. Lives up to the reputation by a lot.

- Still don't know what to think/feel about the new Cayuts. Is it euphoria or cautious optimism? Strange seeing free-flowing, positively reinforced basketball. We got some f-ing snipers.

- Tony is a can't miss comedy show. One of the funniest guys on the planet if your cell phone is in a plastic bag. This election can't end soon enough.

- AA is testing out an audible alarm if you scan your ticket out of your zone. That's great but they need to test out a taser for assholes that clog the aisle and make deplaning take longer.

- Hurts seeing Freddie in LA but if there was a guy that was going to walk-off GS in the WS for the first time ever - I can live with it being him. If you didn't see the very end, he ran up to his dad in the stands right after. Dude raised a ball player and an awesome guy. Also, F the Dodgers and the Yankees.

- Something not talked about much from the pandemic was that it started to kill the cart girl game. Well folks, I think we're back! Royal St Aug, I salute you. Btw, fix your tee boxes.

- Not one text from UF or Auburn buddies. Thanks, Mark.

- Back to being a hybrid AI deadbolt quoting bot. Stay safe, friends.

* Why are Starburst jelly beans so much better?
They really are the best. An entire juice box spikes my son's sugar too much so when it dropping slowly or just needs to be brought up a little bit we microdose him with Starburst jelly beans. At any time we have 3-4 bags in the house and its a struggle not to grab a handful.

I agree, hate the Yankees. Well except the part about getting on a plane back to get swept. He will not be getting on a plane, game 4 is in New York.

😆

One of the funniest guys on the planet?

I like his show for some of the regulars/guests, but he is unobjectively not funny. And I don't care about his politics one side or the other.

Tony Hinchcliffe is a good, but not great comedian. But he's also probably the best Roastmaster General in the game today, and his podcast is both unique and extremely successful. I watch it every week. He's somehow taken the open mic night genre and made a HUGE business out of it. He's proof that you can be an extremely popular, successful comedian in a variety of ways, beyond just simply doing standup comedy.

(and ftr i thought it was stupid to invite him to a political rally. just a really bad look imho)

The only other time I saw him was the roast of Tom Brady and thought he was hilarious. I don’t know why they invited a roast guy - might as well have invited Jeff Ross - and I have no clue why he agreed because now the people “that don’t care about politics one way or the other” ( 🙄 ) will always hate him.

- Mods, we would like to trade Btodds freedom for the clowns

- Kill Tony is funny because he tells the racist jokes in front of a crowd that we only tell our closest friends. No one is safe and thats how it should be. Agree with Ron Hispanic, Tony at the Brady roast was an all timer.

- Sorry Kook, but I love to hear about (because I dont watch that shit) the Yanks getting thrashed.

The whole uproar about this comedian is further proof that Team Red and Team Blue often operate in completely isolated informational spheres. I had never heard of that guy before in my life.
You've never heard of Tony Hincliffe? What exactly are people on Team Blue doing for comedy?

I say this as someone who doesn't want to miss out on good comedy, regardless of source of inspiration.

Just another note: it's just as ridiculous to be outraged at the Tony Hinchcliffe outrage. He's an insult/roast comic. His entire shtick is to piss people off, to offend, and to generally say things that are likely to create hate and dissention. That's the point. So when he gets that exact reaction, please don't be surprised.

He's going to always make people really, really mad......but he's also got enough fans and followers to become very successful, rich, and famous. That's the trade he's willing to make.

Speaking of comics -- he had Adam Ray on as co-host again last night. That's a dude I've never heard of in my life until watching Kill Tony. His Dr Phil and his Joe Biden character are outstanding.
