* Can you imagine actually being a Jelly Roll fan?

I mean, wtf?

* Pizza, Pizza!

Remember when Little Caesar's came in that weird box? It was like a sheet of cardboard with a piece of paper over the top of it. And of course you'd order two at a time.

* Elly de la Cruz is 22. He's going to finish top 10 in NL MVP voting. My guess is probably 6th or 7th.

I dream about him when I make love to my old lady. That's how much I love him.

* Probably going to stand on some business today. Marcus.

* Hot new running trend, for real --> Instagram Influencer-fueled running groups that are basically just a dating/singles activity for 20-somethings. There's a run group or two or three every day of the week here, and it's legit if you can get 30 or 40 people to regularly show up. The new Insta running group in town gets HUNDREDS. It's absolutely massive. Average age is probably 25, and most everyone runs with their phone snapping reels the entire time. They have cold plunges and a house/techno music dj for the after-run party. Girls are all there in full makeup and cute Vuori outfits.

Kids these days. Man.

* RIP Schwan's.

in retrospect, those little deep dish singles were AWFUL

* When it comes to NIL, I root for complete and total chaos. I'd love to see an entire team quit/refuse to take the field right before a bowl game. It's bound to happen.

* The end of Brett Favre's life will NOT go well. The downhill slide has already started, and I honestly think it's just beginning. Same with Adrian Peterson. Their heads are absolute mush.

* Same a-holes everywhere. That's what I say.

"On September 15, 2024, an IU student reported to officers that a rape occurred on September 6, 2024, at a Greek house on North Eagleson Avenue," a spokesperson with the IU police told Fox News Digital in a statement. "The suspect in this case, Noah Apgar, is the same suspect from the rape that occurred on September 13, 2024, at Sigma Alpha Epsilon. On September 17, 2024, Apgar was arrested for rape, strangulation, and confinement. He has been trespassed from all IU property."

* I hate to admit how great of a coach Lane Kiffin has become. That guy continually fell uphill and kept being gifted jobs he didn't deserve based on pure nepotism. But damn, he's become one hell of a coach.

* I'll be applying for the Cincinnati Reds managerial job. Already broadcast my intentions on Linkedin.

* Speaking of Linkedin, I'm connected to a dude who works for MLB and used to be the GM of the AAA team here. He posts job opportunities every single day. When I'm daydreaming, I'll occasionally click on his posts just to see. It's absolutely ridiculous how little most of those jobs pay. In fact, almost everyone I know that works for the Saints/Pelicans hates their job and doesn't make squat.

* Mark Cuban on Theo Vonn's show today.

* Current read: Empire of Pain (Patrick Keefe)

Being a Jelly Roll fan now is less of a red flag than being one 10 years ago when he was putting out rap music. Know a guy who has claimed Jelly Roll as his favorite musician for over a decade.

Well you got my age right but I’m not Amish, Wayne.

Have a friend that has been a Jelly Roll fan for years and says she likes the older music not the new! 🤣

Get ready for a wash out this weekend thanks to Helene. That’s why I have a good rain suit for fishing. 🎣 Going to be a good time with that big front rolling through.

Still over a month before Halloween and people have blowups and decorations everywhere! 🙄
It’s a good thing we don’t have themed Holidays in the summer or no one’s yard would look like anything but an abandoned lot overgrown with grass and weeds.

WTF is wrong with you people? I haven’t ordered little ceasers, dominoes, Pizza Hut, or any other national chain garbage in probably 15 years. There is no reason. And it’s not like I’m ordering 100 dollar truffle pizza, it’s there are so many local places by my house. At least 10. Some of them just as cheap, all much better. Get your shit together Lexington.

Pretty sure the answer to your question “what’s wrong with us” is answered by you “so many local places by YOUR house”

For me outside the chains it’s Jets, Bearnos, Sicilian or Hometown. Sure in general these are better but not at 3x time the price and being not near as quick or convenient.

If it’s me and the wife we will go to Pizza Lupo or DiOrio’s or the like, but I ain’t spending $100 on pizza for all these kids!

  • Well Ron...
  • My cheap local place is called Old School NY Style Pizza. It sells large pepperoni pizzas for $16. Plus those effers expect a tip even on carry out. So I'm looking at like $20 a pizza after tax from that place.
  • Plus you have to call in or try to order on-line, which is a bit of a pain on their jank ass website. And often it's a 30 min wait.
  • If I go to Dominos I can order on-line and get my pizzas for $10 and they seem to have it in the oven in like 10 seconds. If you order multiple pies it makes a huge difference.
  • Had Detroit pizza for lunch just now. 5 out of 5 stars. Highly recommend!

Yikes, GYERO has hit rock bottom. SAD!

-I've had a lot of very good/ fine/Michelin dining experiences... not everything needs to be an elevated experience.

-If I wanna drop 50 bones on family take out... it aint gonna be pizza, ill go for suggins or Taj India.

-dominos app is easy/has rewards.... my girls like it. I get a free pie every 3rd or 4th order. If you're feeding a big group little Caesars is dope... their Italian cheese bread is the truth.

-Clark's pump n shop has the best breakfast sandwiches in CKY. It's a gas station.

-absolutely *nothing* wrong with spending on food/experience... but pizza delivery/pick up isn't that thing.

Pretty sure one of the Corp office guys at Giovanni's posts here, maybe not in GYERO but on CatPaw.

Re: that SAE who raped two girls, imagine getting a call from the police notifying you that your son is accused of raping two girls over the course of a week?

PTi, coming to NO in Dec for a conference, whats my go to carry out pizza near Canal?

What was that pizza place in the Meadowthorpe shopping center? I seem to remember thinking it was pretty good.

I also used to love going to the Meadowthorpe Cafe for breakfast. Now that was a greasy spoon diner.

My best friend growing up would have Little Caesars every Friday with his family. They’d sit around the family dinner table with a carton of Country Crock and dip Crazy Bread in it. Absolute savages, but it was tasty when I was invited over.

Pizza Hut’s thin crust tastes exactly like it did in the 90s. Closest I’ve had to the old pan pizza was found at BJ’s Brewhouse.

Getting old and nostalgic about pizza…

I grew up on Giovanni’s pizza in Ashland. Before dad moved us to this shithole. Realized they finally got one in Lexington. Order it each trip.

Surely, you Lexington peeps have tried it?
It can't be the same business, but we have a Giovannis in Versailles thats a pizza buffet. It's arguably the worst pizza I've ever ate. Thin, greasy, and frozen pizza like.

Can't be the same stuff.

Same chain. My wife grew up in Ashland. Her family eats Giovanni’s regularly and treats it as a religious experience compared to other pizzerias🥹

If that place is open in 6 months, I'd be surprised.

Hate it for whoever invested in putting a franchise there, but the pizza is just subpar at best.

  • Tombstone pizza still bangs
  • Stouffer's French bread pizza not so much
  • I always thought crazy bread was overrated
  • Why would anyone want bread sticks with pizza? It's literally just extra crust.
  • Pizza from Papa John's / Domino's = Same exact ingredients and sources as your local "inexpensive" place.
  • Fresh mozz >> shredded mozz on a thin crust. Reverse for thicker pie.
  • Calzone's are ass

People are on here talking about Pizza Hut, Domino’s and Little Caesars. Didn’t realize we were discussing Portnoy’s go to spots.

I like it better than any of those. But I liked Mr. Gatti’s back in the day too.

Next time I see a homeless person eating a can of sardines I’ll remember this thread where everyone jacked each other off for eating an awful 9 dollar pizza instead of a pretty good locally made pizza for 12.25.

And now you’re just straight up lying. You’re not finding a good local pizza place selling $12 larges. No way. Most places are probably in the $16-20 range.

I love supporting my locals junts, and do all the time, but the cost is roughly double.

Top prospect Jackson Holliday had 30% of the plate appearances as Elly, but still struck out 68 times (a 34% clip compared to Elly’s 31%). That’s insane.

I really think the study on pitch mechanics and hitter analytics has pushed the favor of baseball too far in the pitcher’s direction.

Kyle Schwarber’s last 3 years….

.218 / 46 hr / 200 Ks
.197 / 47 hr / 215 Ks
.250 / 38 hr / 195 Ks

All Star. Gotten MVP votes last 2 seasons. Makes $20 million a year.

Just a different game nowadays. It’s all about exit velo and launch angle, and every reliever seems to throw 99.
