If recent history has taught us anything, it's that it doesn't MATTER who we play. We're either going to play well and win, or sh*t the bed and lose. The opponent is almost irrelevant. We can beat anybody, and LOSE to anybody. Yes, that's true for most Top 20 teams, but it seems more apropos to US lately.

No offense, but this is the worst take since Davis = Henson. I hate defending Duke, but I don't recall them having a nepotism problem whereas 3 of our last 5 coaches have had their sons playing guard for us. And I also don't recall Duke kids getting shitty tattoos.

Herro also wasn't a Duke style player.

Wayne, you've had ten shittier takes this month bud. You need to re-read what I wrote. What I said is that Duke players typically come from wealthy backgrounds, are over evaluated at a position and allotted media acccolades as a result of their decision to pick Duke and generally aren't that good once they leave the safe confines of Cameron Indoor.

Now, ENG didn't really ever play meaningful minutes for us but his overall attitude, demeanor and ridiculously tone-deaf chest tat light up several of those indicators.

If you want someone that actually played meaningful minutes for us, it'd have to be someone from the 90's.

Also, this is about as shitty a topic as Myron could have possibly come up with for clicks. UK guys, even the white ones, are successful when they leave UK. Jayson Tatum is the only Duke player that has had any longevity as a superstar that I can recall (outside of Irving and he's so damn weird I'm not entirely sure he's a Duke guy anymore) since Cal has been here.

Hot take here but Herro was a little underwhelming here. 35% from 3 at less than 2 a game. Avg 14 pts. I really only remember him hitting one big shot, against Houston in the s16.

Jared prickett would have been annoying as hell as a dukie

Scrappy, bordering on annoying, with a scowl and occasional dirty play is what I think of as a prototypical Dukie. Maybe those players are a product of their environment, that allowed this, or maybe they were Just not good enough and used any trick at their disposal to compete. Good players that never became great.

That’s just because K never put the ole stem on the apple. Or at least that’s what I assume. If he had a son that played basketball you can bet your ass he would have been a starter.

Ok, thanks everyone, think we got it covered as to which Kentucky player would be on a Duke team as well 🤮

Firing on all cylinders, longest win streak of the season, no one injured or slumping that’s key. Hot damn, haven’t been this giddy for March since 2017. Just got a feeling on this one, we’re due.

They can be cannibals though, as evidenced by what’s going on in Haiti at the moment.
Well this just sent me down a rabbit hole where I learned that the likely new leader of Haiti is named “Barbecue“.

He said his mother gave him that nickname, others said it’s because he likes burning his rivals.

I’m not sure both can’t be true.

#1 = very Tom Chambers-esque (elevating after contact)
#2 = might have been the GOAT had it been completed

That's all well and good but the last foul on DJ was atrocious. Not one part of his body was touching Ziegler and they gave him an And1 at a crucial point in the game. An absolute egregious call!

Watching UK take down a legit UT team in Knoxville is still my highest sports "rush"

Watching it happen in the house and room's where I grew up and became a UK fan - despite 5 siblings who aligned with UT - is just like euphoric-chocolate-mind-sex level satisfaction -

This Brodie guy from Drake looks like a thicker and older Charles Oakley.

This game is bonkers. Down 18, the Sycs threw a switch and tied it in like 5 minutes.

Used to watch that coaches LMU teams routinely put up 100+ points in their games

Very high graduation rates too - they're loving him up there -- think he was at LMU for maybe 13 years

Definitely expected the come back - those folks suddenly have their best team since the Larry Bird team in the late 70s

Good to see -
Unfortunately for them I assume Terra Haute (sp?) is still a place you get promoted OUT of

Hes originally fm FL I think.

- It remains remarkable to me the benefit of the doubt Duke gets all the time. I was listening to media say before the game they were in the conversation for a 1-seed. 😂 The ACC is garbage. Two years running, they’ve disappointed with a loaded roster before making a run through their shit conference. And I’ve seen nothing to suggest Scheyer is a good coach.

- Now Hubert- I don’t know. What a weird start of a career. Awful season with surprise championship game run. Preseason #1 doesn’t make tournament. Then this year, where he has built a team that’s very well put together and has them in the conversation for a 1-seed. Is he good? Does he suck? Who freaking knows.

- That Shep “swipe & bomb” play is my favorite signature Kentucky player since maybe his old man 3s off the curl.

- Gottlieb may be the college basketball analyst whose opinion I most respect. Don’t always agree but always pay attention to what he says.

- The quadrant BS. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Not all Q1 the wins are the same. Our Top 10 wins away from home mean more than beating #30 on your home floor. Already preparing for my Selection Sunday redass.

- Speaking of, why does no one seem to care about Arizona’s garbage losses?

- Duke or UNC as a 1 seed is just typical ACC/ESPN hype machine BS.

Even if they all do not win their conference tournament it’s Houston, UConn, Purdue and Tennessee.

- It’s crazy watching a Calipari coached team not have a guy you can dump it to in the post. I legit don’t remember the last time we actually fed the post at all.

- I don’t think he is projected anywhere for the NBA but I’m not sure how 32 NBA GM’s pass on Reeves in this era.

- Started Ray Donovan over the weekend. 5 shows in and it’s pretty good

- Nice 10 day forecast for the next two weekends. I’m ready for late nights on the patio watching all these games. YouTube split screen action FTW.

Was it 2019 that everyone in the media started clamoring for UNC to get a 1 seed out of the blue on the day before the selection show? They got it, which gave ACC 3 #1 seeds, which was ridiculous.

Tennessee, UK, and Mich St all were #1 seed possibilities until all the espn analysts changed tune that day.
