Shew, no shit. There's only 1 Rob Dillingham, and his overall creativity with the ball is unmatched in CBB (and not just this season), but Hubbard isn't too far behind as far as being DYNAMIC. Be as close of a replacement as you could possibly have.
He seems a Mississippi kid through and through, unfortunately.
-Everyone in the world thinks Reed should start, but PTI(pti) has used the word benchwarmer across platforms 17x in the last few days. Reed played 35 last night, and is averaging 29 in SEC play. (And much more than that of late). That's 1 minute behind Ziegler, Sears, etc -- if nothing else, at least Cal has realized once he gets in at the 16-17 min mark, he basically rides him the rest of the way. I mean, that's about as good as we're gonna get w/ this stubborn clown.
We'd all like to see more Dilly, but he needs to quit 1.) starting games off horribly and 2.) stop taking himself out of the 1st half entirely w/ 2 early fouls, and then usually gets his 3rd with 15 to play in the 2nd...85% of which are stupid ass shit 30-90 feet from the basket. Last night Cal chose to ride/trust him w/ the early 3rd, so progress there realizing he's pretty damn clutch down the stretch in games w/ his playmaking.
-Z got tossed around like a rag doll, but battled hard and kept coming back for more. For as many buckets as he gives up, he typically =/> that in Blocks. Add in his scoring/finishing/passing, he's just a damn productive player when he's allowed to play through his mistakes -- a shame he's not in better shape. Poor kid was BEGGING to come out last night and the U8 timeout didn't come until 4:54....lol. I was screaming for Cal to call a 30 to get him out of there...luckily it didn't cost us.
