You'd think a shooting performance like that would yield more than a 16-point lead against a garbage team.
We’ve been zoning the baseline out of bounds plays then switching to man immediately. A nice adjustment there finally.
I mean that’s what 99.9% of other teams do and it seems to work so I guess that’s called a coaching adjustment.
All Thiero does is make winning effort plays and get all the 50/50 balls. Love him.

Love what I’ve seen tonight from Z, Burks, Edwards and Bradshaw. The others are obvious but we need some guys being comfortable playing.

Big Z is so funny to me. Shows up, gets a few buckets and dimes, plays like 10 min... disappears.
Big Z is like having a college Arvydas Sabonis out there. You know, minus any defense that he might have played.

ENG wasn’t qualified to play at Transylvania coming out of high school.
The year he sat out while we were playing with 7 healthy players so he could graduate early and preserve a year of eligibility immediately moves him to the top of the list.

- Parenting is tough but then you have days like yesterday when I introduced my daughters. My oldest was “BBdK at the bar after a big UK win free-styling” pumped, even Huber-giddy to hold, feed, hang out with her baby sis. Her favorite thing in the world are babies and now she has her own.
- Of course, later on, she didn’t want to go to bed. Then she said, “I want to watch the football game with Daddy.” Have no clue how she knew UK was playing and she mixes up her sports, but she watched the first quarter of the game with me before falling asleep on my lap. Couldn’t say no to that one.
- I needed that one last night.
- Burks is a kid who in the 90s would be All-SEC by his junior year. Hope he sticks around AND we work to develop him but we all know how this one probably goes.
- Good to see Edwards have a nice game. He’s another one who would probably develop with more strength, confidence and a couple more years of ball handling practice, but he’ll go pro and never reach his potential.
- Z is a joy to watch.
- Starting to think Dillingham may be a star at next level. His shooting is what impresses me most. I’d take him over Shep and probably Top 5 overall.
- Listening to Dauster who did a deep dive on our D. Basically Shep is awful off the ball and Dillingham isn’t much better. He was pissing on our ability to fix it. Can’t argue much but I’m still hoping.
- We have guards that no one else does. If Cal plays Thiero 28 mpg and make the slightest of defensive improvements that hope will continue. I don’t know …
- Let’s get healthy and get our rotation down.

Well, Cal made some adjustments. The zone on the out of bounds entry. He wasn’t just yanking players for the sake of doing it.
The defense stopped completely collapsing which cuts some of the 3’s out. He or Stack let the horses run. But either way they ran.

-Dillingham is absolutely going to be a star in the NBA. Been telling my buddies that for a month and my non UK friends only talk about him in regards to our team.

I went to a Vandy alumni event in Miami last week. It was a lavish fundraising event. The Chancellor was there and they did presentations on the school, had some professors speak, lasted about 3 hours total. Not one mention of athletics.
Defensive analytics are tricky- some may even say bad science. Shep’s steals and blocks are outstanding. The other parts of his D are not.
