The time to fire Cal was after last season. Now, it's time to fire him again. Waiting till after next year will suck. I hope our big money boosters have coaches lined up, and I hope some of those choices are downright ornery SOBs that only care about winning basketball games.

It's not as bad as the 9-16 season but that SEC opener against Mizzou next week is huge. They are 11-2 with losses to Kansas and Illinois but it's at Columbia and if we lay an egg there, this season is going to be on a collision course with the NIT or worse.

Like I said, Cal never really had a relationship with the boosters or donors outside of a really select few. Maybe that's gone, I don't know, and definitely don't give a shit. I'm just failing to see how that has anything to do with the shitty style of basketball we play. Facilities and NIL aren't slowing down our recruiting. So that stuff is just piling on and missing the point. The only reason anyone cares is because we suck. No different than Tennessee, of all f*cking places, growing a conscious when they kind of hire Greg Sciano, Brian Harsins is banging his assistant, Stoops banging a student, Billy G and Jaspers' GF. Just wait, Sonia in Harbor Town will be brought up if we miss the tourney.

Winning basketball games is all we care about, all the other shit is just that.

I don't think so. I think (BECAUSE MITCH BARNHART IS A DUMBASS WHO GAVE CAL A LIFETIME CONTRACT) that this is going to be a sexless marriage where neither party can cheat but both want out and are waiting until the kids graduate and the mortgage is paid off to split amicably.

For the foreseeable future, we are stuck until Cal decides to leave.

The perfect ending, imo, would be for Barnhart to leave this summer and Cal retire after next year to take the university ambassador gig after coaching Wagner.

It is pretty clear, to me at least, that UK/Coen can't announce he's coming until after the Rams last game (which will be the second week of January) but they are telling recruits he's coming. We will probably hear some kids let it slip during signing day interviews.
