Cool. Because of laptop issues I had to actually go into the office for the first time in nearly 3 years and I come out to a world where someone actually bought a Marrow to U of L rumor.

It’s to the point you have to be a stupid MFer to think Marrow is going anywhere without Stoops.

Like it, Love it or Hate it, deal with it regardless because we are way past losing him by himself at this point.

- I rewatched the 95 game. Didn’t realize that Wallace/Riddick skirmish happened so quick in the game. I definitely grew to hate them in that game, but before that I didn’t know about them in 81/82 and in 93 they beat the team I also grew to hate before 95 in Michigan. So for me, and I’d assume my father, they slid by us as far as pure hate because we just weren’t direct rivals.

That said, cheering on IU in Rupp Arena against Duke, a few short months after watching my wildcats lose to the same Duke team in the Jimmy V Classic in New Jersey three months after the towers were hit, was by far the most conflicted I’ve ever been with 2 rivals pitted against each other.

And that solidifies, for me, that from 84-95 which were my young early years of becoming a fan that UNC was as irrelevant as could be and Duke wasn’t.

Basically F Duke!

Well, considering Qatar was using 7 year olds as camel jockeys until about 10 years ago, not entirely surprising.

Thanks PTI. 😉😉😉

1,000,000% chance foul play with Grant Wahl. Absolutely absurd and horrendous. WTF

I was actually referring to the sportswriter, T-Waldron. He’s written about 1,000 articles about all the death caused by Olympic construction.

Oh here we go again with anth and his Fake News Media Enemy of the People Lamestream MSM Media Failing New York Times.

He was having health problems over there.

"My body finally broke down on me. Three weeks of little sleep, high stress and lots of work can do that to you,'' Wahl wrote. "What had been a cold over the last 10 days turned into something more severe on the night of the USA-Netherlands game, and I could feel my upper chest take on a new level of pressure and discomfort. I didn't have Covid (I test regularly here), but I went into the medical clinic at the main media center today, and they said I probably have bronchitis. They gave me a course of antibiotics and some heavy-duty cough syrup, and I'm already feeling a bit better just a few hours later. But still: No bueno.''

It's also likely that he had every Covid booster because of his wife.

Tend to think he died from whatever he had. But, their prince or whatever he's called was gaslighting hard about the construction deaths being nothing and only a few. Others put them into the 1000's.

The only reason the WC is in Qatar is because the last president of Fifa is one of the most corrupt POS in sports or even business history.

Pretty terrible situation all around and getting to the truth on this will be nearly impossible because no one knows who to believe anymore.

Everybody dies at some point. You will, and I will.

Did you exist? Will you exist? Do you continue to exist? Does anyone care? Who knows?

Eat Arby’s.
I told someone once that 99% of us will be completely forgotten within 3 generations, like we never existed, and I think it genuinely wounded them in a permanent way. It was kind of funny.

Maybe getting to the bottom of the cause of death of a soccer journalist who wore a rainbow shirt to the World Cup like an asshole will be the thing that finally causes millennial writers to stop bitching on Twitter about systemic racism and bringing back mask mandates and start doing some actual investigative journalism for the first time since Khashoggi got wacked.

* Even though we just went 7-5 and endured Autistic Steve Zahn's "offense", I'm much more emotionally invested in UK football than I am basketball. It is amazing what having a coach who consistently works to address his weaknesses and who isn't a jackass to the fanbase will do for my ability to overlook some missteps.

* It sounds like Coen's return is sealed and delivered but he's going to finish the season with the Rams. Their last game should be on January 8th.

I don't love that he's not coming immediately with the importance of the transfer portal but it will be good publicity to have Kentucky mentioned during every Rams game from here on out. He should be here in time for Spring Ball and if it is announced that he's coming, we can recruit for his style. The fact that he has a track record of turning guys into NFL draft picks in record time should help us with recruiting and transfers if it is certain he will be here next year.

I could not possibly be happier if he is in fact the guy, especially if we hang onto Brad White for another year.

* To paraphrase Demarcus Cousins when he played an Ivy League school -- eff 'em, this ain't no spelling bee.

* I'm never going to be mad at getting a gyro or fish sandwich and some curly fries with horsy sauce from Arby's, even if it will now remind me of the pending demise of me and everyone I love. Curly fries are worth it.

It's one of my finer epiphanies in life. I'm horrendously average. Average height, weight etc. Intellect is probably relatively average too. Once you welcome and accept the fact that mediocrity defines you, your realization hits a lot less hard.

Most of us are too busy being the hero in our own story to even consider that a possibility, however.

College Football is the craps table in the casino. Life of the party. Conversely, the product of College basketball has been a snooze fest for 20 years.

It's big game days like today take me back to being a kid where I basically grew up with my old Grandpa, Pappy Harold. This was all the way back at least three years ago when I was 35. Before the big game, my Old Grandpa would make me take my Huffy bike 8 full miles into town past Turner's Corner all the down to the ole Hayseed Store. And my old Grandpa would make sure I picked up the same thing every time: a loaf of bread, a handle of their finest Early Times, and one giant white Peppermint Lollipop.

I'd pedal my heart out racing back to Pappy Harold's so worried I'd miss the opening tip. And every big game he'd make me sit right on his knee while he still had on his dirty overalls and we'd sit there with the volume of the TV and the radio of Cawood Ledford's sweet, soulful voice both completely muted. It would be totally silent. He just wanted total focus I guess. He'd sit there sipping his Early Times and nibbling on just the crust of a slice of bread and would literally force me to lick that giant Lollipop until I finished it. It would literally take me most of the game and he'd give me them theses awkward looks and shift around in his chair a lot while I licked it.

And he never wore UNC shorts, that's for GD sure. Go cayuts.

Call me old fashioned but I also miss the home and home vs UNC, the home and home vs lville, and the neutral site game vs IU (miss the old rca dome).

Throw in Maui every 4 years and maybe one rotating opponent every year and the OOC schedule is perfect.
