It's a great day to be a UK Wildcat. The trip to Ole Miss was alot of fun we were a TD called back from having a special season imo. As long as we have all suffered let's enjoy owning louisville 4 years in a row.

Was just trying to keep it PC and not upset the Company. Never know which Companies are woke and didn’t really want to kill any more witnesses. It’s just too easy to relapse when you actually enjoy watching that little glimmer of light go out. Kinda like watching the UL fans today.
Sit around and wait 9 months for it and it’s already over.

-I could handle the black helmet with the UK seen on the neck pad. It was nice to see something new, I just hate that Wildcat logo.
-Beating a "Top 25" UofL team's ass is just good clean fun, I don't care if it lacks style points.
-Stoops is my dude, and this is his program. Tough season and I had my moments with it all but I'm behind him.
-Rodriguez is just an animal, but a damn shame he didn't have a great line this season.
-It feels like this closes the chapter on the post Benny/Allen era, and I'm already excited for a refresh next season. Things felt stale/tired all year. Some new faces, new field, maybe even some new threads... It's time.
-I missed my first Governor's Cup since 1997 today, and have now only missed 2 games in the entire modern series to do some family Christmas stuff and not abandon my wife with the 3 rascals 2 Saturdays in a row. The things we do, man.
-The Governor's Cup is not aging well but sure looks pretty at the JCFTC.
-Winning this game never gets old.

- Felt like this Oline was always solid at run blocking. Hard to say this now but really felt even when CRod came back we underutilized him despite his 784 yds and 6TDs in 8 games.
- Call it a hunch but I don’t think we fire Scrang. Stoops is a dude, and with that comes some form of loyalty. I still think some of the conservative nonsense came because of Levis turf toe.
- Barrion Brown and Dane Key will be the best WR duo in the SEC next year.
- Rhule took the Nebraska job. Interesting fit IMO.
- The damn Aggies upsetting LSU might have cost the SEC a second team.

Deone Walker is the most dominating freak DL force that I can recall. Gotta keep that kid in the UK fold, satiated with NIL cash. He is raw and awesome at a position where only dudes like him are only stationed at elite college football programs.
Between brown, key, kattus, Walker, and afari, we have significant contributors from our freshman class. Need to hold all these guys for sure.
Yep...3rd losing record in the SEC in last 4 yrs. 7 teams with a better SEC record than UK (that is 8th in the conference FYI) and UK beat 3 teams with a winning record. Throw in the Vandy debacle for good measure.
I guess that is worthy of statues, extensions and $9M a year.

By my calculation, stoops has raised the overall winning % of the football team in its history by 4% pts and he’s only been the coach for less than 8% of its history.
I guess LSU losing knocked the bowl pecking order down for SEC but there’s still a chance we slide in The Gator vs ND, which would be pretty cool but is Will going to play in the bowl game??
They do for getting extra practices to get young guys ready for next year.
Agree with UKO. Mitch should have fired Stoops this season and just called one of the maybe 10 known active Head Coaches who, if things broke right and their personalities fit and their recruiting inroads transferred over to UK, could do this job better than him. That's if they were willing to leave their traditional power and walk away from their massive contracts.

* The transfer portal opens on December 5. Stoops' post game comments made it sound like the staff usually goes recruiting this week but will stay on campus this year to re-recruit the current squad.
Keeping our studs is much, much important than recruiting at this point. In addition to the names above, we also need to hold on to Valentine, the Wade boys, and (presumably) Goodwin.
One upside of the transfer portal is that it is easier to get rid of malcontents. If rumors of locker room turmoil this year are true, there might be a lot of addition by subtraction.

UNC has won 5 ACC championships and pays its coach $5M a year. Of course they haven’t won shit in over 30 years and paid over $100M to lawyers to keep the NCAA paid off. Yep, that’s a lot money for no statues in that time.

I'm not a recruiting football, but I have seen our ranking and it's not good. Who's gonna play QB next year? Is Stoops all over the portal?
I think the dilemma is if you keep the OC, you have a couple decent qb options in the portal that are tied to him. If you don’t keep him, you may not unless you have someone in mind that is bringing a qb with him.

Freeman is a helluva recruiter and may turn out ok but Fickel is a Top 10 coach.

It would be a very good thing for UK if Fickell leaves Cincinnati.
Nebraska could not have done any better than Ruele. Guy is a proven program rebuilder and given Nebraska’s resources will do well there. Their fanbase is as passionate about their football program as it gets. Packed their stadium even when they have sucked. Think the Husker revival is about to begin.
With the talent surrounding the QB position I have no doubts UK will get a good QB in the portal.
My issue is can they get a guy as a FR too and bring him along without the guy eventually leaving. Levis, Wilson, Johnson etc I don’t think this group has once had success grooming a FR quarterback thru the ranks and that to me is alarming!

Nebraska fan base is bountiful and crazy. Miami fan base is nonexistent
