Seriously doubt Auburn comes calling for a guy who's the 2nd longest tenured HC in the league and still hasn't won an SEC West road game, but suppose it's possible. If they do, see ya, Stoops. F, I'd go.

It wouldn't be the first time that a Stoops team started strong and built up crazy expectations before some soul-crushing loses in the middle of the season that caused fans to consider checking out. I'll continue to put my money on Angry Piglet (and Levis/C-Rod) but that loss on Saturday was probably the worst of the Stoops era.
Tennessee is a legit great team but they aren't 38 points better than we are. We got absolutely boatraced and out-toughed. Stoops' quote early in the year was "We may win or we may lose but by God we are going to be tough." Outside of Levis and C-Rod, this offense leans toward being poosays.

I know a lot of us stopped following recruiting closely once Cal started making it boring, but right now in the year 2022 I am completely lost when it comes to recruiting. Between reclassifications, transfer portals, NIL, I have no clue who anyone is, when they would come to Kentucky or how anything is even allowed. I just turn on the tv in November when the season starts and try to learn numbers.
speaking of November, I’m not a fan of this balmy weather. I’ve got some fleece that needs wearing and I’m still wearing my shorts and hey dudes every night. Want to put the tree up but not when I’ve got the dang AC on set to 68. Just doesn’t feel right at all.

Our new house sits next to an undeveloped plot of wooded land and a skunk has been sneaking into my garage whenever it can. I turned the place upside down looking for it to no avail, but sure enough I found skunk droppings on my driveway the next day. I don’t even know what to do with a skunk? You can’t confront it. I’ve had several people tell me to set a trap. And then what ??? I’m gonna have to wait until I know it’s inside, bait it towards the door and then hurl an object at it, knocking it outside and kicking it out for good. That or call the turtle man. He’s still alive right? I think so but he also seems like the kinda dude who would’ve died during covid. Idk.

2023 class is back to old school Calipari recruiting. Likely end up with 3 Top 5 players and four Top 10, along with Shep’s boy, a Top 25-40 kid.
The class talent overall isn’t great. There’s no Anthony Davis but we’ve got some good ballplayers coming in to mix with vets.

We beat everyone but Georgia and pick up another solid bowl dub, we end the year in the Top 25 again. That’s a helluva season. The only thing keeping it from being outstanding is Levis going down and the SC loss.

Too many to mention but getting hammered as expected to the Vols did not compare to the miserable performances against WKU/Vandy in 2013 and Vandy in 2015. The fubars of 2012 can be excused for incompetence.

Why the silence from superintendent on the Dunbar situation? Normally he would have sent an email out in the case of the death of an employee (especially one that put in 17 years with the school system). Instead the only communication I have seen is from his PR person. Have I missed something?

- College football coaching hires that just make sense: Auburn-Kiffin, Ole Miss-Deion, Georgia Tech-Chadwell, Nebraska-Leipold, Arizona State-Harsin, Colorado-Grimes (Baylor OC).
- Oldest is going to her very first UK basketball game tonight...with a friend. Not sure how I'm just now realizing that this will be her first-ever Kentucky game. She's only been to one UK football game, and that was the game where I brought her to the GYERO tailgate beforehand. Time flies, gang.
- Even Shaedon's presence hasn't stopped me from enjoying MY Blazers so far this season. Just a fun group to watch share the ball and get after it, and Simons is turning into a legit stud.
- Got laughs at Comedy Caravan last night. Hadn't been to that club in ages, but they've done a really nice job with it.

Went to the WKU game last night. Diddle is just a great college basketball arena. Small, compact and historic, but modernized and comfortable. No bad seats. Two huge jumbotrons. Loud, even for a poorly attended exhibition against Montevallo.
Dontaie Allen was terrible. Came off the bench and was a turnover machine, ice cold from the field until garbage time, when he scored 8 with a 25 pt lead under 3 minutes left. Feels like he has checked out.
My interest in MLB has waned to near zero. I've watched 2 innings of the World Series because nothing else was on and it was tied in the 9th. 30 years ago, I could've probably named the starting lineups for half the league, along with batting averages, home runs, RBIs, ERAs, etc. Reds being competitive would help a little.
Scangarello has Georgia right where he wants them. Has been keeping his playbook hidden for 8 weeks. ATL!!
