Solid 12 point win as a 30 point favorite.

Definitely ready for the Top 100 portion of the schedule

Well you need to become a broker to get those tickets because you ain't getting them.

I thought gyero didn't care about money. what, are you the poor one of the group?

No idea who you are FNG, but yes, in GYERO, I’m one of the poors.

Nice to meet you by the way. 🖕🏻

my dam furnace has a some sort of door/lid/flap that isn’t opening properly so therefore it just makes a ticking sound until I manually make it open far enough to kick the heat on. Started last night. Woke up at 4 and it was 58 degrees in the house. It’s gonna be a long, or cold, night depending on how many times I drag my ass out of bed to get it started. Service dude is coming tomorrow but I’m fairly certain I’m fixing to plop down some cash on a new unit.

We “may” end up being one of the better teams this year in CBB but damn we are so hard to watch. Honestly been that way for years now, hence my American Pickers reference a few seasons back that I caught shit for.

Muted the tube with 12 to go and watched Secret Santa videos on YouTube instead with my phone. Looked up between videos to keep up with the score.

Secret Santa>American Pickers>UKMB at this point as far as “watchability” rankings go, IMO

- ABERMARLE in North Carolina has their DH bottles and are loving it.

Albemarle, if that is what you are referring to, is only about an hour away from me. Did you send it through our ridiculous ABCC or through some other measure?

Either way, wouldn't mind getting my hands on a bottle to try. Pretty cool thing to experience with my FIL, who's quite the connoseiur.

As for the game, all I can say is that this is the type of game we lost last year in even more frustrating fashion. Think the kids are ready to see a bigger name on the jersey, a livelier crowd and maybe a Brad Nessler or (gasp) Jimmy Dykes on the call.

Seriously, be careful. When I was young & newly married, my husband and I were living in my parent’s house while they were away on a golf course project.
It got cold and my husband went down to light the furnace and get it going.
I left and went to work at my hostess job, and later on he came to the restaurant and sat in the bar to wait for me to get off.
.When we got home, it was apparent something was very wrong. All the windows were blown out. We cautiously entered the house and everything was a wreck. We could hear the sound of water running and the door to the basement was blown off. All of the fireplace floors were in rubble.
Once the fire department etc came and figured things out we learned that a valve on the furnace malfunctioned and stuck closed and the furnace exploded.
So we also learned that if we had been home, we would have been at the least, seriously injured.

Yes Albemarle, and we did go through the ridiculous ABC. What a mess.

The 9 yr rye is expensive because it’s on the shelf retail, but it’s still less than several others around that age.

The store owner has emailed twice today telling me how it’s flying off the shelves to so I’m happy for them.

They are planning on getting a 16YO Rye already too.

Well that will make me sleep better tonight. You are on Jefferson, right? I’m a few blocks over on Clark so if you hear a loud boom tonight it could be my place. If so, you got a spare room for a fellow Wildcat fan and his better half......well maybe just a fellow BBN guy, she can find her own arrangement.

Lol. No not on Jefferson. I live in Fairfield off of Freidman, but yes I have spare bedrooms and if you and your better half need shelter, you are welcome.

As much of a fan as I am of Russ, it may be equal with Damon Lilliard, but that little MFer wants 2yr 107M deal to stay in Portland.

So unless it’s just trying to force a trade, GTFO you greedy little POS!

I know we are going through hyperinflation and all, but as my granny would say “bless your heart”.

Per this stat and this stat alone, Billy Gillispie is ever so slightly better than Cal.

* Props to Sean Woods, I guess. In the immortal words of Stringer Bell, that game was a 40 degree day.

I might get a Southern t-shirt. Those jerseys were awesome. I guarantee Southern's band kicks ass.

* No one gets less done with more minutes than Keion Brooks.

The insistence on these silly lineups with 3 bigs and treating the 3 point shot like it’s a rash, especially with this group featuring 3 point shooters, are big red flags.

I also see the same antiquated sets that we’ve been running since 2009. VEGAS! ELBOW! Oh, and my personal favorite, the top of the key weave featuring one big 40 feet from the basket that does absolutely nothing but drain time from the shot clock.

*Love Vern, and he can snark all he wants about shooting 3’s but it doesn’t make it any less true that posting up Lance Ware or Jacob Toppin is a waste and inefficient. I would rather have a Grady forced NBA 3 attempt.

*Some of those lineups, ugh. Oscar gives you a chance to play small ball because he is that good, wish Cal would take it. Playing Toppin/Brooks at the 3 does a disservice to the kid and the team.

*At the end of the day it’s about getting good efficient looks, no matter what kind of looks they are. At the rim or from deep are typically the most efficient shots but I don’t mind midrange if it’s a good shot. A midrange Brooks catch and shoot open 2 has proven to be a good shot, a fadeaway Brooks midrange post up after we’ve wasted 18 seconds of the shot clock accomplishing nothing isn’t a good shot and we do waaaay too much of it (not just for KB but in general). I guess it just drives me crazy that our bailout option at the end of our offensive sets seems to be a midrange post up and we don’t have one person that is particularly good at that…why not a P&R or iso to someone like Grady or TyTy?

Done venting…

On the positive, Collins is starting to come around…at least he is up to stuff and can stretch the floor vertically. He’s a true lob threat that teams have to account for, so we’ve got that going for us, which is nice.

I’ll reserve judgement on Cals lineups until real games and SEC games start. I think he purposely makes it harder in game early on against weaker opponents so that there is this mid season tweak he can boast about.

That’s just me though. W is a W in my book.

Unless there is foul trouble, 3 of Oscar, Collins, Brooks, Ware or Toppin should never ever be on the floor at the same time. It’s silly.

I actually like the midrange shots, when they are in the flow of the offense and taken by the right people. The fall away BS is not effective, as SK pointed out. But, I like Brooks, Grady, TyTy, Wheeler and even Oscar taking those 15 foot Js.

Juzang does most of his damage on midrange Js. and it opens up everything else for him.

Grady has to be more aggressive. He passed up a lot of shots last night.

Hell, our best offense is Oscar getting boards. He can grab rebounds off of clanked 3s just as easily as he can off of Brooks’ fall away bricks and Wheeler’s chucks toward the rim when they don’t get swatted.

We don’t need to be the Warriors out there, but 4-5 more 3 point attempts on avg would be good. That would be around 24-25 attempts per game.

We are currently 17th in offense efficiency. With better lineups and shots, that will stay high even when the competition has a pulse.

The cupcake portion of our schedule is over. It is time to get shit right.

- Inefficient isn’t even the word for our post attempts the last two years. It’s a turnover, offensive foul or poor shot attempt 90% of the time. Almost incredible.

- To be honest, we don’t know shit yet. Season starts this weekend.

Isn't it weird how often we get blocked by some of these scrub teams? Even Oscar got denied once.

I’m not admitting to anything, but I believe the advent of the tube sites has eliminated some of the more artful parts of early porn (I.e. a plot).
Of shitty Wayne takes, "the loss of the plot in pornos is a shame!" is near the tippity top.

<------- not a fan of long twos from Brooks. I am a *huge* fan of those shots from Oscar because it makes it easier for him to post up. Brooks doesn't really have much of a post game and I don't really like him trying to get his by firing up 18 footers without conscience.

Let’s be real. This is GYERO. If you want extra strength blue flavored kool aid then go hang out on Rafters.

There’s a TON of apathy towards the program right now. Not excitement. Not anger. Flat out malaise coated apathy. There’s not much excitement revolving the program, zero buzz and most fans are generally fatigued of Cal’s shit if we’re all being honest with one another.

Cal better win this game on Saturday against a mediocre Notre Dame team or there will be a continued check out for the majority of the fan base.
