Football is worse. If you're just going to induct QBs and WR's let us know. How are you a hall of famer when you were never a top 5 QB? Yeah, you won a couple of super bowls, but you were never 1st or 2nd team all pro at any time in your career.
To that point, the NFL’s HoF should have close to equal representation by position. I’m not saying there should be five linemen for every QB, but it should be somewhere close to a ratio of 1 QB to 1 RB to 1 WR to 1 O line to 1 D line to 1 LB to 1 DB to 0.05 kickers to 0 punters.

-LSU grabs Brian Kelly, OU gets Venables, USC gets Riley. All really good hires. TBD on UF.

-Buck was a really good ball player but his work after his playing days speaks for itself. Just a real shame he never got to see it. Wayne is a racist.

-The Cards' debacle is starting to get sad, tbh. Good lord. Endorsing Satts the week before bolting for a new job is some BCG style shit.

Tyra is a poor AD, from nearly all accounts. No clue what FSU is thinking.

-That was one helluvan electric storm last night. Felt like every 15 seconds, my entire house would light up..dogs were melting down....ugh, nothing like zero sleep on a Sunday night.

UF coach - feels like there are 2 or 3 more (Glen Close from The Natural) women about to get out of that van.

You got Peyton and Brady. Then, you're saying Brees, Rivers, Eli, Ben are all among the greatest of all time. This is one generation. That's roughly 20% of the QB's in the game at the time.

It’s a shame Adam Dunn didn’t get 500 home runs. He’s not a Hall of Famer by any means, but it would have forced an interesting discussion, and I think his numbers will age well. I’m todays game, his .240 batting average still sucks, but it doesn’t look as bad as it did 10-15 years ago.

Hopefully my good buddy Chris Davis gets in Cooperstown to piss off PTI.

That guy is loving life right now. Not sure what got worked out but the Orioles will be paying him not to play well into the future.

Going to answer myself again because...apparently that is strange - the Orioles will be paying Chris Davis to not play until the end of 2032. In 2022 he will get $23 million, $9.16 million from 2023 to 2025 and then $3.5 million from 2026 to 2032. Much better than Bonilla IMO.

Can’t wait for the Chumps meltdown when Big Ben gets in the HOF.

Loved the Baltimore win - watched some of it over my wife/daughters heads while getting birthday fare for my newly minted 18 year old

PROBABLY shouldn’t have put that in writing but -

someone- who’s sort of “B+ trustworthy” — that Kentucky high schools don’t vary widely in student enrollment #s between the six class divisions .....

does that generally sound right ?

is anyone here from the western part of the commonwealth?
i have a new appreciation for what parts of it i’ve seen. -

had pretty much 0-hours experience in western kentucky until moving back 2 yrs ago

How about some COVID talk?

Basically every living breathing person over the age of 5 in New York City is now required to be vaccinated to do anything other than sit inside their home unemployed and be uneducated.

Insanity.

Cristobal takes Miami and Manny Diaz is out. Diaz was thought to be a great DC though so I doubt he struggles to find work.

What is funny, at least to me, Chip Kelly is thought to be Oregon’s #1 guy.

So let’s see, a proven arrogant POS being courted by his former employer whom he left immediately to take an NFL job........sounds very familiar!

It’s funny how ineffective having 84% of your adult population vaccinated really is.
Very good at keeping people above ground but looking like it's not very good at stopping spread. Which would be great if we were tracking this thing by hospitalizations and deaths rather than positive tests.

Regardless, Bill is just being a dickhead on the way out of office. Can't imagine the new guy will keep that in place.

Serious question since there are several in here associated with NIL. Say you give a kid $1mm for whatever services (marketing) and the kid leaves after 1 year. What happens? Are there contracts involved in this that specifically state the outcome?

The use of his/her image doesn't disappear just because they leave.
