Next weekend is gonna be bonkers for ole dad. We have a solid group of game watching buddies, but have a hard time getting a bar/tv setup here because there’s usually other more important/prominent/watched games on at the same time. Not the case when we play LSU, obviously.

It’s our last weekend in New Orleans before moving to Denver temporarily. And to top that off, it’s the day of our 3rd annual New Orleans Ultramarathon. Our finish line is at a brewery, and the race ends at 6pm, just before kickoff.

This is a heavy drinking crowd, too. So from about 9am until the end of the game, we will more or less be hosting a big outdoor party with a bunch of drunken friends at Second Line Brewing. The race participants after they finish, our other runner friends who just want to hang out and enjoy the festivities, and our UK fan friends once kickoff comes around. Weather projection is 65-80 and sunny. What a perfect send off for us.

Their o-line moved a bit early on every single snap. I was baffled there werent more flags.

Thought our o-line was really good. Aside from our center losing an eyeball in the trenches- they were the epitome of big boy football last night. Thats also the reason I thought we shouldve just gone under center and let Rodriguez close out the game that way instead of running out a wildcat play.

Jacquez didnt get near the attention the other transfers did- but hes arguably the most valuable. Nose for the ball and whatnot.

As much as Valentine has gotten rinsed on a lot of plays this year- he was good last night and has been good overall this year.

The morning after a big win so i'm not going to go after Levis... but I could. I'll leave it at that.

My buddy was basically sending us live video of him rushing the field, and looking back at it today- there was Waka right beside him- singing his own damn song with a few thousand other fans. What a surreal series of events. Also my buddy tried to walk out of there with the Dial-a-Down sign but his effort was thwarted at the last minute by stadium personnel. "Son that's not yours"

Got set up in the Red Lot at 10:30 yesterday morning, left the Red Lot at 12:45 last night. Had as many beers after the game as before. Just one hell of a day.

I didn't know who waka flaka was at first, but 40 recruits ALL stood up and were recording him right below them.

I'm giving 70% of the win to the defense, 20% to special teams and 10% to the fans, although fan percentage should probably be higher.

I'm not sure I've missed any big games since I was a kid in the 70's. Start to finish that was the loudest. I'm shocked at how much fans want good football. We've said it for years, but seeing the team do their part, just amazing.

Singing my old ky home with the cheerleaders with the field still packed after the win. Not a dry eye around.

Another little piece of childhood gone after today with Mike Shannon's last game in the booth. Jack Buck/Shannon took care of summers for me while Cawood/Ralph had the fall, winter, and spring.

Re: Wan'Dale... I don't think I've been this excited about a player in years. Somebody said they reminded them of Steve Smith... as a huge Steve Smith guy I can definitely see it. Both tough sons of bitches. I also think he's got a little Warrick Dunn in him. While Dunn was an RB, he always seemed to be able to gather himself after the defender made contact and not only not go down, but keep his existing speed.

Now, let's get Wan'Dale the f'ing ball 15 times a game, Coen.

Can I have sex with your wife?

I couldn't pick Waka Flaka out of a 5-man lineup if three of the dudes were Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube. But if that convicted felon whose biggest hits came 11 years ago is what we need to have a good football team and bring in great recruits, then let's make him the face of the university!
Well.......this is a thing so......
