Tennessee has become a dogshit football program and I love it. Sand Mountain's finest couldn't get it done.

I guess its called schadenfreude

Edit: Also touch Fat Phil. He was turning in people left and right for recruiting violations while he himself was committing them

I salute this and YOU SIR — are welcome to dinner at my hearth All day/Air day

I know it's a little later in the day, but everyone still has time to post your favorite MLK quote on social media today. Probably a solid proactive measure for many of you, just in case. Good luck!

I loathed that team with the heat of a thousand suns but would take that underachieving group of potheads over this mess we’re in right now.

As big a mess as that bunch was, they went 22-10, ranked No. 16, advanced to the Sweet 16, and gave eventual champ Maryland all they wanted before bowing out. I think it was one of the closer games Maryland played during its run.

Tubby's recruiting eventually petered out, but my goodness, look at the raw talent he had assembled here...

I’m fascinated by this Knicks team. I love the UK players and think Toppin/Robinson are great players for their roles.

I loathe Barret/Rivers beyond their college ties, they simply aren’t good NBA players. Sure they get “theirs” usually at a cost to the team losing.

Really wish they could get a legit scoring guard as that is their missing piece. It was strongly sounding like Booker was an option until the Subs got Chris Paul.

I think the NBA is better when NY is good, that’s not a delusion either.

It is unreal that a team with this much talent lost so many games and got lucky to reach the Sweet 16.

Tubby struggled to handle loads of elite talent and later he could never replicate the lightning in a bottle he had from the underrated dudes who carried him in 2003 and then in 2004.

The biggest stat to display the frustration that Tubby created for fans is that he had Tayshaun Prince and Keith Bogans together on 3 teams.

They never once made it past the Sweet 16.

Most institutional and corporate gestures on MLK day ring hollow and exploitative, but props to Tennessee, firing Pruitt to honor the King is actually timely and moving. Really hits all the right notes for me. His legacy lives on, even today.

Nothing unites a UK fanbase more then a player who is obviously getting screwed by the Coach who comes in and proves it.

Farr Thibs. Quickly balled in the first half (11 points), only played 3 minutes the whole second half. Why will he not play the players who are playing the best ? And Quickley even played in the first half, so he can't use that.

Loved that Maryland team. Probably my favorite non-UK college team of all time, and Juan Dixon was a stone-cold killer. IIRC Marquis Estill had a helluva game to keep us in the game. Another tough Carrier Dome memory.

The fumble into the end zone rule that hurt the Browns sucks, but I don't know what a solid alternative would be. What sucks more is they didn't penalize the Chiefs player for launching himself helmet first into Higgins' noggin. That shot would've been automatic ejection in college.

If the Warriors' owners were smart, they'd sell right now. Once Steph is on the downside of his career (and he's almost there), the value of that franchise will drop. For all the love for Klay and Draymond, that whole organization is built around Curry. New owners love to overpay for a franchise. I bet they can get $6 billion right now from somebody.

In the latest news, I'm a free agent, too. Got my position eliminated last week, my first severance ever, and lots of tears from all but the ones who made the decision. Already one interview in the books and working on setting up more. Shit sucks, but I'm going to make the best of it.

Let's talk about some happy Wildcat seasons now.

I watched the 1998 team play the elite 8
, FF and title game in my barracks at Kapaun Air Station - it was a small common area crammed with misfit furniture and some weight lifting equipment that no one seems to know the origins of ...

They beat Duke , Stanford and Utah and their comeback tactics made me permanently “sports-stitious”

After the duke game I had to watch the other 2 games while still wearing my BDU uniform (camo) , sitting on the same questionable lay-bench - and telling the junior ranking airmen that they had to “ keep it moving “ and NOT STAY in tree with me as I watched

it WORKED

so that NC was partly — because of me
Wish I had a “unfkyoursf” hex for this year

Well the issue is at no other position on the field can it be fumbled forward and out of bounds, and it cost the offense.

I get the touchback if the other team recovers, but if it goes out on a sideline it should move back to the same position on the field where the fumble occurred.

Not sure what’s so hard about that, or why fumbling in that position without a clear recovery is the only time we want to punish the offense that way.

Sorry to hear that, Padre. Best to your family right now.

I loved Juan Dixon as much as I've ever loved a non-Cat. I grew up near College Park and the frenzy around the Terps in 2000-2002 was the closest thing I got to Kentucky style frenzy until I moved to Lexington. Dixon was the prototype for Peyton Siva with the tough family story, but...better. Loved Steve Blake on those teams too. Special F U to the ACC and the refs at the time for the gifts they gave Duke during that run.

Coach Bruiser, Do you think we can beat Detroit in the first round of the the NIT at Rupp? It will be Brad’s homecoming and I wonder if John will or could be focused.
