Many of us, the basketball bennies, saw this storm brewing but it’s like being on the golf course during an enjoyable round, you convince yourself “hey, maybe that one will go around us”.

And then it hits and you are taking shelter in a porter potty. Cal’s offensive philosophy and roster building is a porter potty shelter.

Poor Boston. That kid just flat out can’t play. I feel for him - it has to be a nightmare.
Allen is legitimately better at everything.

I know I have tunnel vision when it comes to that kid but the fact that his shots, like Bbdk pointed out, almost come by accident is coaching malpractice, plain and simple. He should be option one for this offensively challenged squad. Then you watch him show, play smart defense and rebound and there is no excuse for him not being on the floor 30+.

He gets beat off the dribble like every other player on our team.

Just wait til Clarke gets back lol.

Allen Marcus Welby turbo beg for a Covid redshirt Bc he’s dunzo

Watch him magically reappear Saturday and zap all of Allen’s minutes. Totally unrelated to tonight.

Or, Cal will get asked about it in Thursday’s presser. “Terrence? Who? Never heard of him, haven’t seen him in weeks”

I get that Leach is a “company man” and can’t really ask Cal the tough questions but I’ll be damned if that post game interview wasn’t just as embarrassing as the performance on the court.

Come on @Jeff Drummond, and your fellow brethren, it’s time to start asking some hard questions.

So last week comes down to us catching Vandy and Florida on a bad shooting night.

We're not beating anyone that has a good shooting night. And I mean nobody.

I like watching our post players get the entry pass, and then courteously wait for the defense to react and block out for imminent, nay "inevitable" rebound, before pivoting into the teeth of the now prepared defense. All while ignoring the rare occasion that a teammate might make a cut, or be open for a wide-open three. It never gets old.

Forgot to mention the other 4 players, that seem to be day-dreaming while watching all of this, and then, realizing they've been caught "unawares" lunge blindly for the ball and commit a foul.

I know almost nothing about basketball, but to my untrained eye, that seems like what I see, on a loop, when I watch us now.

I've been cut off like three games in a row toward the end of the presser. I think they can sense when he wants to get the hell out of there.

Turned it off about 16 minutes left in the second half. I think we were down 14. Just checked the score. I honestly don’t think I’ve done that before- maybe that last Kansas game with Tubby. What an awful irredeemable mess.

I can separate the kneeling from the shitty basketball.

The stud UK teams of Cals past would have kneeled and done the BLM stuff. They would have also gone out and beat the shit out of their opponent.

Fans will put up with the first as long as they get the second.

I think the real end started with the loss to Kansas State. We are just experiencing the snowball getting a lot bigger and it is barreling downhill.

The last under 4 TO was enough. Shut off the TV and was asleep soon after. Don't even have the energy to get upset anymore.

If this is the beginning of the end then I'm expecting ugliness. It's going to be because of BBN; not a refusal to adapt to the modern era. We'll be painted as the worst fan base in America - the dumb hicks that don't know how good we have it.

Cal has us by the balls and we gave him a two-handed grip.

I wish he'd take the Petrino route and leave a good bye note as he slinks off into the night.

Nobody wants to hear this but it’s the reality. The kneeling (which I personally don’t have a problem with but the reality is you DO offend a good portion of people who are the furthest thing from racist) and last night are the beginning of the end. I said it.

Come on man. Had we beat Bama you would be writing sweet GYERO poetry. You really want Toast making another basketball hire?

We once left a vacation a day early, at a state park, because they didn’t have ESPN2. Just so we could get home and watch the f’n NIT on some volleyball courts.

I’ll take my chances with Cal even with his snot nose kids.

- Honestly it felt like when Cal exposed Tubby as a dinosaur in Maui. Similar team makeup. Similar driving and kicking. Less 3s, though.

- Cal really learned that lesson with Skal on perimeter oriented bigs didn’t he?

- Cal missed out on some bigs in the ‘16 class leaving him with a frontcourt of Bam/Willis that’17 season. I’m bringing that up because if you think spacing is bad this year, wait til he puts Tschibwe next to Toppin and Ware/Hopkins next year lol

I’ve always had a “you have to watch the games through the bad times to appreciate the good times” type of mindset as a fan.

But if people elect out this season, I get it (nothing to do with kneeling). Watching your favorite sport is supposed to be fun and the only feelings I get are anger and frustration from this team (other than when Dontaie lucks into a look from 3) and our coach. Been more than enough that this last 10 months.

Like most people, I don't care about the kneeling. I do think it is a bad sign that this team waited to do it on the road after the barest hint of a winning streak. I assume the message was supposed to be something about the Capitol Insurrection, I guess. But it speaks to mental weakness and an expectation of coddling that this squad of scrubs even thought they needed to make a political statement AND decided to do it on the road after they managed to pull a double OT victory against effing Mississippi State out of their asses.

Completely tone deaf, just like everything coming from UK Athletics that doesn't involve Mark Stoops and Vince Marrow.

At the half, the wife and I watched the last half of an episode of the Mandalorian. After it was over, she asked if I wanted to turn the game back on. I said "No, let's just go to sleep and get up in the morning and screw on the ottoman."
