So are we going to get this Joe Ngata kid? He looks pretty good. No clue who he is, but he's been on the upper right corner of my screen for the past 15 minutes.

I enjoy the sportswriters tweets. IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT TWEETING A KID....

Listen hoss, the people tweeting a kid on tweeter are not going to be enlightened by a pencil neck with a journalism degree. They are not exactly the type you reason with.

As with Harris I wish Wandale the best life and will casually enjoy GAMBOL against you when the match up presents itself.

High school wise, kid was a big fish in a small pond (Western Hills isn't exactly a football power). I'm wondering if Nebraska gave him the impression that he'd be King Fish if he came there.

Why wish him the best? It’s sports- I wish him the worst on the field and don’t really care besides that.

College basketball recruiting may be completely corrupt but football recruiting is an absolute joke. I get so annoyed by the circus and the systemwide ignorance of the word “commit” that I can’t even follow it without my head shaking back and forth for an hour.

I mean, I would consider it, but I’m still 100% committed.

Umm, no you’re not.

Whatever, go do you, I’m not gonna think anymore on it. (But I do hope we get to play you someday)

Look, expecting 18 year old men to not act like spoiled 13 year old girls or that parents actually exert a healthy amount of influence over said men just means that you don't "get" recruiting and need to step back and get some perspective.

Or something

Most of the kids that decommit I eventually end up forgetting about and accept it as football recruiting. But **** Jarren Williams and **** Wandale Robinson, hope neither plays a meaningful down of college football.

Trend I've noticed:

College basketball guy - basketball recruiting is dirty but football is way worse.
Football guy - exact opposite.

This might be a "get off my lawn" take, and that's fine, but they just need to stop calling it "Committing/Committed." It's a stupid, outdated term for what kids do with football programs now. Call it going steady, or "naming an official favorite." It rankles me as a believer in being committed to things and seeing through and fulfilling your promise to people when we use that word and it's treated as nothing.

-Isn’t that why it’s called a “verbal”?

-Paul Goldschmit traded to the STL Cardinals! Fvck!

-UK Football will be fine. For the first time in my life we have depth and should add to that whether Robinson was joining or not. Get Devontae Lee and we are probably better off.

-I guess I’ll be joining a codes meeting tomorrow where builders in louisville are about to lose their shit due to a possible new change going into effect next year. Should be fun!

-Christmas shopping is almost done. A few stocking stuffers here and there and it’s all she wrote. Which free’d up my next two saturdays to chase down some specialty bourbon. This Saturday I’m headed to J’s Liquor in Owensboro, and the following weekend in St Matthews for a random drawing.

I figure it will suck and I won’t be lucky enough to land what I’m looking for, but I’ll be alone and not shopping for Christmas presents.

Is this about Freon? I see these commercials warning me that Freon is gonna be outlawed or some crap, should I be concerned? Do I need Freon? Tia!

I have no idea about a freon shortage but there is a national shortage of helium. Apparently hospitals and government agencies have been using it all up, in what capacity i do not know.

Wife went to the Louisville Home Builders Association meeting today. Apparently, trees are an issue and conservationists are saying a lack of them are creating "hot spots" around the city. Problem is, these hot spots are not in new construction zones. Dolts. Interesting, right? Well, that's the shit I have to hear and pretend to care about.

No mention of freon.

Interesting how when recruits deceive or make the unpopular pick the en-vogue thing is to include the obligatory "Please respect my decision" line.
It's a tried and true tactic to put anybody who criticizes them on the defensive, since they aren't "respecting" his decision. It's rampant, requesting respect where none is merited in order to dodge the hard questions that they would otherwise need to address.

Example: Active shooter, under 18 kills 10 innocent people in a high school before the police shoot him dead. Parents of the killer issue a statement: "We ask for your understanding and request that you please respect our privacy while we mourn the loss of [our mass murderer son] as well as the loss of his victims."

Yeah, we get it, you are sad, and while conceding that it is possible that you were model parents and your son just totally deviated from your excellent parenting, people (particularly the relatives of the victims) have the right to know the answer to some questions, such as how your son came into possession of the weapons he used, whether you saw warning signs and how you addressed them, etc.

It's not "respect" they want, it's abdication of accountability.

But if we are honest with ourselves, we are relieved that we won't have a player on our roster named "Wandale." Seriously, who TF names their child "Wandale?"

I could try to defend my analogy but in hindsight, yeah, poor example, was not where I meant to go with that. Certainly was not trying to equate a school shooter with a football decommit, and to the extent it appears I did, I'll concede I'm an idiot. Fire away.*

*Example of being accountable.

You have until 1/1/2020 when it will no longer be allowed to be imported. At that point just about any R22 AC should be 10 years or older. Phase out has been going on for years.

So, what you are saying is that i should probably look into replacing my 15/20 year old unit in the very near future?
