Did you talk to a mirror as you made that post, you dumb son of a bitch? As least rogue wasn’t schlepping a buddy’s Affliction t-shirts in GYERO [laughing].

You are universally and justifiably reviled, yet for some reason you keep vainly trying to gain acceptance. It’d be tragic if it weren’t so hilarious.

Was so serious ???

1. Not Affliction shirts, they where UK shirts.
2. I thought this was a free sports message board not a GD Hollywood dick stroking club. Acceptance ? On a sports message board ?

I bet you strut around your house at night telling your wife / boyfriend "babe, i just stalked this message poster whom i have never met before, and called him names for like the 800th time to try and gain a laugh from other message board posters." Damn playa, you are funny as hell. "Reviled", and universally at that. I finally made it. Tragic, yeah that is the first thing i think of when i think of tragic "Guy is terrible posting on a message board."

Ive never understood how anyone who is a fan, and attends every game of UK football could ever poke fun of someone that likes a team like the Cubs because they are perpetual losers.

Go Cubbies

-because said fans are "wgn"/astroturf fans with no connection to Chicago. It's gay.

-If you are from KY this is the way it works: east of the natcher parkway=reds, west of the natcher parkway=cards. Older fans from Louisville can root for the cards is they saw Doyle Harris in person at a redbirds game.

There is a lot of different reasons to be a pro sports team fan without having a connection to said city.

Let’s pretend now that most in this thread all of a sudden like Cinci, how TF can you even start to defend that?

I am a fan of the cubs as well which WGN did not hurt, but can not be given all the credit as Atlanta was on TBS even more and was a lot better team in the 90s.

So you're saying if we grew up watching WGN and the cubs, or TBS and the Braves, we have no license to their fandom, but must be foisted into Reds or Cardinal fielty?

False.

Anth hating the cubs is funny, considering he looks like a pygmy Rizzo. I know he's got a jersey hidden somewhere.

Couldn't care less about women's hoops, but I am happy that Louisville has been ended.

 Good ol “you’re not allowed to be a Cubs fan from Kentucky argument”. Sorry bub, I don’t like any team from Ohio and never will. Move UK to Ohio and I’ll quit watching.

Pretty simple, my dad took us to watch Cubs games in Chicago because chicago and Wrigley are infinitely better than Cincinnati and Riverfront.

You being a fan is the only proof I need, pal. Epitome.

If you don't live in a state with a pro sports team, your loyalties aren't directed by geography. That said, you should make an effort to avoid bandwagon teams. And whoever you're a fan of when you turn 10 years old, you're locked in and you must be a fan of forever. Them's the rules.

I grew up in the 70's rooting for the Dolphins and Royals and now here we are 40 years later and they're both awful.

NO RAGRETS.

Guarantee you no Cubs "fan" stayed up and watched them lose last night in the 17th inning.

Sadly enough, I did while playing COD.

Yup. Thanks to Ken Griffey Jr., Randy Johnson, and Edgar Martinez, for an adult life with exactly one playoff appearance.

The damn Tundra at GABP is LITERALLY 585 feet away from home plate. A literal 0% chance anyone even gets CLOSE to it this year.

And only idiots think they have to hit the truck. That was NEVER the actual contest. Hence the giant sign in RC field... “RED HITS SIGN, FAN WINS TRUCK!”

A Red hits the very hittable sign and a fan wins the truck that is on display.

If the sign is not hit over the course of the season, we give it away anyway at the end of the year.

Chumps, you probably wouldn’t be bitching and moaning all of the time if you ever actually had a clue about whatever it was that was upsetting you.

:flushed: My bad. Missed the sign.

Reds have that outfield looking like Roger Dorn's Indians in Major League II.

There's literally an ad at every open space in the damn outfield.

Forgot how long the drive is to South Florida.

Steak 'n Shake is soooooo incredibly slow.

Reds games are definitely overly corporate. Too much of a production and not much emphasis on the game. I don't need to be entertained...just put a good product on the field...the atmosphere will take care of itself. Will still go to 1-2 games this season though.

I did not watch any of that game as A) it was blacked out here and B) I cheered my beloved Conchs on to a BIGTIME win over Gulliver Prep. State Playoff Bound!

Yankees scout there watching our pitcher as well.

17 hour drive? Dude, break that up. Stop in ATL and hit the new aquarium, looked pretty wodie.

Last year driving to GS, left at 5p, stopped for dinner in Nashville about 8:30, MIL/WS/G all out by 10. Popped on podcast and hammer down, no traffic, rolled in around 2:30a. Easy peasy chicken greasy.

Way home, left a day early at 8am(weekday), drove first 3 hours through the still very active remnants of a tropical storm, hit stand still traffic, stopped and took WAY too long for lunch, heavy rush hour traffic in Nashville, Gwas over it with 3 hours to go and screamed the rest of the way. Rolled in 12.5 hours. Basically 2.5 hours longer and 10,000,000,000 x's more frustrating.

I'll try to never drive more than 5 hours but if I do it'll be through the night. Hell we did that back in college for every road trip.

Are Valley Station necks invited to the NKY Gyero outing? I too would like to drink beer away from the family.

I’m glad we got beat K State instead of honky ass Loyola. My psyche could not have handled that. Not even sure Cal’s sunny ass could have dealt with that.
